..to stop accelerating on turnpike entrances....it is getting bad and I do believe that I am addicted such that I do not care where I am going just so long as we can take the turnpike After I pass the EZ Pass gateway i make sure that I time my entrance on the turnpike road so that there is nobody in front of me on the on ramp, I than turn on the turn signal, PSE and Sport Mode and.....floor it. 30 to whatever in no time at all.


for those who aren't familiar with the term "turnpike" it goes back to the old toll gates that were a pike that turned when the toll was paid. these days it is an over priced toll road used by Pennsylvania's Governor to raise money for what appears to be maintenance of every other road except for the Pennsylvania Turnpike and for public transportation.

 

You're in luck, I think they make a pill for that.

 

I feel your pain!! If you find the cure, please pass it on- but it really will have to cure from 0, not from 30. I love listening to the engine rev to 3500 instantaneously and then feel the clutch plates tighten and accelerate to near 1g longitudinal! I haven't had this much fun with a car since I was in my 20s (40 years ago)- remember I have to drive 5 hours to find great curves. I keep thinking it will diminish, but not yet.

I had that affliction when I had my 993...it seems to have returned with a vengeance since the 991 arrived.
