Would you like a Test Drive...?
I pride myself on researching Items of Importance, and while having that confidence exposed in more than a few occasions, I still have yet to be confident in choosing a 911.
I am looking for the most comfortable 911 that I can possibly build, so I feel that I might be limited to either the c2, or c4 cab base model with 19's and no PASM, so I have more rubber on the road, and slightly thinner springs and roll bar than the S model.
But then, when I drove the 911 C2s Cab, vs the C2 coupe base model, I felt that the coupe was more bouncy in the rear and the C2s Felt more planted, despite it having the stiffer springs and roll bars.
Sure, I could order any 911 and drive it until I really know what I want but I would have to do that with all 4 models.
Other than the, "Just-do-it" philosophy that some here would employ, what rationale could I use to help make a better decision?
Lastly, for me the simpler the better.

The S models come with PTV plus and PASM standard so that is where the more planted feel probably comes from. My C2S coupe on its 19 inch winter tires is definitely a smoother ride over the 20 inch Carrera S wheels with stock P-zeros. My winter ties are Pirelli Sottozero II tires, I just bought the $4200 package from Suncoast. PDCC also smooths out the cornering at high speed with less body roll, this effect is only slight in my opinion in everyday driving.
If comfort is your only issue, I suggest getting the 18way adaptive sports seats plus as well. The extra shoulder support is nice to have. I would also recommend the dynamic engine mounts you get with the Sports Chrono package.
So comfort options would be ranked according to my experience:
1. The 19 inch tires
2. 18 way Adaptive sports seat plus.
3. SC+ dynamic engine mounts
4. PTV plus and PDCC.
5. Power steering plus, (easier to move the wheel while parking and at low speeds)
