failed emmision test questions

Hello

I just returned from emmision test and my ctt full catless didnt pass co2 test. I was thinking if I put oem secondary cat will I still be able to pass it ? I mean oem downpipe + secondary cat delete + oem muffler.

So nobody has any idea how to pass emission sniff test?

A secondary cat will more than likely not be enough to pass a sniffer test, can you source a "high flow" cat and use it?

I have the oem downpipes . I am putting them back tomorrow and try.

what state? No visual? Many states now have visual inspections even if the sniff passes. Missing equipment, you fail. If not secondarys dont do that much. Prob do need primaries.

I'm sure Il get flamed for saying it but you can use e-85.

Perhaps wait until the tank gets empty and put 2 gal gas and 1 gal e85. Drive easy, pass your test and fill up with gas.

you sure that would work? Ive read tests that only show a 0.5% reduction in C02 with full E85 in the tank.

I saw 14% vs e10. Just curious, do you have O2 extenders? I wonder if that would make a difference. Does your guy throw a sniffer in the tailpipe or just go off the ecu?

It would also make a difference what E85 is in your area. Octane varies widely.

Yeah I have o2 extenders . Yes that put sniffer inside the exhaust
