Not sure how intense other owners are but simply how one gets in and out of the car can leave unwanted marks/damage....let alone trusting someone to drive it close or far.

I appreciate those that park anywhere and have piece of mind, I'll never get there with my Porsche.
+1

Right there with you.

Are you lucky enough to always have the valet let you park it yourself in their valet areas and let you take your keys with you? What if they refuse?

Is there a special valet mode in these cars which limit revs / mph?

I ask because I've never owned a car of this caliber before, and I'm interested to know what people usually do in these situations before I take delivery of my car.
I too live in LA, and I never valet. It has been at least ten years since I have instituted my no valet policy, and very rarely have trouble parking or finding street parking. However, the walk might be a little longer. It is well worth it. What I am finding out about this car, is that it gets the same reaction as Ferrarri's , which means people are not that kind. However, with a little work and parking in the outfield so to speak, you will not be disappointed.

You've got a point my friend but my house is 45 minutes via freeway from the dealership ...of course they move around the car in the workshop when I drop it off, no issues there BUT there's a difference in my case

Yeah, I can totally see your point since I still get nervous when they bring my car around to wash (even though despite my contest of "no wash")

Why not just note the mileage on the parking ticket when they hand it to you at drop off? That puts them on notice that you're paying attention.

Luckily where I live in the Bay Area, there are plenty of more expensive cars around than a 911. I imagine valets around here are parking 10+ 911s a day.
