Pse

Been busy over the holidays so this is a late post. I purchased a 2012 C2s cab in May. I was torn when I ordered the car in February about getting pse. Decided not to and after 6 months I bit the bullet. Made the decision on Monday the 17th. The dealer got the parts and installed it 3 days latter. It is like a new car. Completely changes the character of the car. I haven't turned it off since. My best Xmas present in some time. If you are on the fence my advice is do it.

Glad to keep hearing good reviews. Going to bite the bullet on the PSE in the next few weeks. Can't wait!

I am alway a little skeptical of some of the deals people post on forums. That said the dealer worked with me and, with tax, my cost was only slightly more than the factory option price. The dealer did a great job on the install and the car was ready when promised.

my dealer quoted me $3200 for parts and $600 for labor. its pricey, but seemed to be reasonably priced when searching around for the PSE parts from other vendors when you add shipping.

That is high. I have seen others on the forum post $3200 parts and labor for an S. my target was $3200 parts labor and tax. Suncoast sells the S parts for $2500. The base PSE is about $500 more. If you have an S show your dealer the Suncoast add.

Do you know what makes the base parts higher than the S?

I think the most interesting part of adding PSE after the fact is that it is the most cost effective exhaust upgrade. It makes sense on so many levels. Aftermarket exhaust reduces the value if the car in my opinion if you care about such things. No other system does the on off thing as elegantly. They have a key fob at the best. Overall I think it is a no brainer.

My guess is that the base parts are higher because the S already has the quad tips.

They are in the attic along with the rest of the oem exhaust system. Don't ask why I kept it.

exhaust tips come with both. base is higher as there are more parts and there is more wiring.
