dash addition

had one of those 15% off tequipment coupons burning a hole in my pocket so I purchased a mahogany dash insert. I did not buy the shifter replacement as I like the leather one. I uploaded photos of it as well as my buddy.

Looks really nice!! Did you do the install? If so, was it easy?

Does your Buddy get to ride in the Porsche?

Looks nice. I don't usually like wood in a car, but that complements the 2 tone leather well.

dealer charged me 1/2 hour to put it in...i didn't want to screw with trim.

My buddy has a real bad chewing habit and most probably won't be riding anytime soon.

Would love to see the whole picture... I wonder how the door panel chrome flows with the wooded dash.

Would have been nice if you had the wood steering too to round out the interior

While a wood wheel would look nice, I really like the feel of the leather wheel. Not crazy about wooden wheels I have a Moto Lita in my MG

I had the wood steering wheel in my '66 911 and like you I appreciate the feel of the leather better. The modern wood wheels might be better but I doubt anything could be an improvement on the 991's wheel for tactility.

I certainly understand. I have the mahogany wheel, and while I like it, I think I have to get use to the feel. Right now though, I am driving with gloves. It does look awesome though.
