Hi gang,

I have a Guards Red cab with standard (chrome) S wheels. It looks very sharp when clean but I'm tinkering with the idea of powder coating the wheels black to make the rig look a bit more aggressive.

Any opinions our there? Any pictures of GR with black wheels?

Yeah, black wheels on a guards red porsche are very classic. Nothing wrong with that. It will make the car look mean. You will find pics, look in the sticky pictures thread.

 

Usually I am a pretty standard wheel guy. However, the black wheels with your black top would look pretty bad-***.

 

I have the c classic wheels on guards red and like them more than any other wheel I have had on BMW or P. They are a great pull it together/offset to the black front lip, side mirror bottoms, tires, and window tint. They also hide brake dust really, really well. All black (and it looks like you have the black top as well) might be a bit too much for me but roll your own and see. You can always go to another rim if you change your mind.

I think i would have liked white wheels but silver look good.

 

IMO the stock wheels do not look good black.

But these on the other hand look fantastic.

 

Agreed and the most amazing this is... they're 21".
If anyone would have told me that 21" wheels on a 911 would not look "ghetto" I would have laughed... but I'm really, really liking it!
To bad they are all 8K and up (not inc. tires).

 

I think the stock Carrera S wheels look awesome in black and I think if you do it you will be very happy with it !!!!

I am considering not black, but a dark smokey gray I saw on some new 991´s offered by STEVISONS IMPORTS in Denver. They look really cool and more "racy".
