2000 miles done hooray!!! (pic warning)

Time, weather, and travel has influenced the time its taken me to get to the 2000 mile mark. Today the stars were aligned just right and I went for a long drive on some of our roads. Gorgeous crisp weather and at the 2000 mile marker.... I let her rip!

Congrats Haku! It was a beautiful day here yesterday and while I was driving through Valley Forge National Park, I thought I should stop and take a few pics but didn't do so because the car was no where near as pristine as yours. I have 200 miles to go before 2000 miles. Will likely hit it next week.

...beautiful country! ssshhh don't tell anyone but I'm so so glad I moved to the US from Blighty!

Today was the first sunny day in 2 weeks of cold, rain, fog, and hail! Its going to be good for the next 3 days. Come on over!

Thank you xs. So is your RS4! I returned to Porsche after a few Audi's and a dealer screw up on a RS5 order.

D, all P cars are pristine! Especially yours. Valley Forge must be spectacular... please take some pics and share. If it makes you feel more comfortable I'll dirty up my car and post some pics!

Hey! That's my car! (or will be in 2 months). After endless hours of soul searching, seeing your car finally converted me from the dark side (black). Thanks for sharing your pics. (now, if you can just keep the pics coming until March).

Thanks. I hope you'll be as happy with the color as I am. Your 2 months will be well worth it. Until then I'll try to oblige.

Not long to go for you to get unleashed!

There were a couple of times I may have gone over by a teeny bit but I've mostly kept it under 4000 rpm. I have also varied the speed and not kept it at constant rpm's for long periods. The Porsche mechanic did tell me that it was ok to hammer it after 600 miles or so but I decided to go by the book. As you know there are differing schools of thought on the issue of breaking-in. I just did what I normally do and took it easy...ish. I did get the oil changed at 1000 miles and although its not a requirement I would recommend it.

Simply beautiful!

That road greatly resembles the Bear Mountain area in New York. I can't wait to get back up there when the weather gets more agreeable and the salt is off the roads.
