No straight-on side shots of the whole car, but I'll try soon (supposed to be high of 24 tomorrow, so I probably won't bring it out to play...). I got the 19" wheels - after seemingly only seeing 20" posts, I have to say... I like them. A bit more 'classic' and slightly less 'aggressive/sporty', but nice, and I'm on standard suspension so the car that bit higher too. I'm attaching the 2 pictures I have that best include the wheels for now in any case (second shows more wheel well than reality thanks to being so close and the iPhone lens being 28mm equivalent!).

I don't know if some do - it seems possible since as far as I understand it's just fine to have as long as the bulb lights it up amber. (My old Passat also has clear/white, not orange, and that was as delivered, not aftermarket.) I definitely like the look better on the red since everything else is clear/silver and then there were these extra orange bits. I'd imagine the orange may clash with the speed yellow as well (love that yellow too).

BTW love the little story about the wife... always nice when they agree, it means you can now order more stuff hehehe
We'll see. I better understand the posts about PSE / aftermarket exhausts after some hours behind the wheel. Just listening to the engine rev with the symposer is great, I'll see if I need more once the break in is through and I can actually go over ~4K... but she already thinks the non-PSE / non-aftermarket exhaust is kind of loud when in Sport mode, so having parts show up to make it louder might not thrill her. Then again, it would give me another chance to prove myself, right?

My kids are certainly excited - they're very happy to take some crazy routes (15 miles) to go to a store a mile and a half away, and definitely happy that the weather decided to cooperate especially considering we dodged snow here last Friday! Of course my wife still thinks I'm crazy, but she does recognize that I'm also happy.

And to everyone:

Thanks, great to be in the 911 fold and back in a Porsche. I had a 944 fresh out of college (bought used for less than my wife's (well, gf at the time...) Plymouth Laser. Need I say more? The 944 sadly was a victim of having kids (certainly the kids are even better, but I still miss that car), and I've been itching for another Porsche ever since. The 944 was certainly just a touch lower on power at 157hp, definitely not a 911, but it was always a blast to drive, and that old 944 ad on the mountain road... "If you were a car, what kind of car would you be...?" That was the one that hooked me as a kid.

The Guards Red is just ridiculous - totally eye catching. Sadly, most colors are actually great on these beauties, and having to choose just one combo is maybe the 3rd worst thing Porsche forces on us after waiting for delivery (and now break-in).

Dadz911 is infamous around these parts
I am not normally a fan of red cars, however, when I saw my new 991 in red i knew it was the car for me. The car just takes on a very different look in red IMO from the other colors and I just love it. I had a white and a silver 997 that never got a second look but with the red everyone is always checking it out. Congrats on your new car and enjoy the heck out of it, I know I have enjoyed every mile I have put on so far!

Congrats, I also picked the same wheel for my 991. Somehow I really like them over the other designs.

I too really like your wheel choice. Wish they made them in 20" for the S. I probably would have ordered them.
