Hopefully, your situation ends up like mine. . . Dealer told me ship name and gave me website to track (marinetraffic.com). I even bought the Marine Traffic iPhone/iPad App. Tracked it constantly. About 2 weeks before my car was supposed to arrive at the Port in San Diego, I got a call from my Dealer. . . . Got some bad and good news for you. Bad first please. . . . We gave you incorrect ship info. Good news is your car arrived at port yesterday and you should have it within the week. HallaFreakenLuya!! I didn't care that I purchased an App for no reason, woke up in the middle of the night on numerous occasions to see where in the middle of the ocean my car was. . . 3 weeks early made it all OK!!

Outstanding news dhill911!! I can imagine how pumped you are. I'd love some news like that. However my news is a bit different. I got an email back saying;

'Still showing completed and the next phase is ON Vessel. I will check again tomorrow morning and let you know'.

So once again, no news. Man it is just plain painful getting those messages. So it's great to hear about your news, great to l know the process works, that the ships are still coming across the pond!

After reading this again, we are talking past tense here. You've had your car for a while now. I was so excited to read good news I forgot to process it!

Yah, fortunately for me it is all in the past. I do think the tracking system, once the vehicle arrives at the port in Emden needs some DRASTIC improvement.

Bottom line. . . you are a whole lot closer to sitting in the Driver Seat!!

Excited to Pics when you get it!!

Last I heard a few days ago my car is still awaiting transport. I'm doing my best to not pester my dealer too often, but it's not easy. Looks like there are a few of us on the west coast all waiting on transport, so perhaps we will all be in the same boat.

Just received an email from the dealer saying nothing is new in the system today. So my car was officially completed on the 21st of Jan, but still no word if its on a ship or even in port yet. Seems like it would t take that long to get from the factory to port. I know the shipping info isn't always reliable, but I'm surprised its taking this long. Or maybe it's not taking long and I'm just impatient........

It can sometimes take a week to get to the port. I wouldn't sweat too much right now. Their online systems aren't real time so may not be entirely uptodate. Anyway, the car will soon be on a boat and on its way to you... but there is a big pond in the way, with huge waves, storms, and giant sea creatures!

Just kidding, all will be well old chap! Just hang it there.

Well just heard that my car is on a boat now heading for San Diego. Dealer didn't have the vessel name yet, but should know soon. Finally at least it is actually moving closer to my garage.

My car was finished Jan 18 and still no word. However, this is normal. Porsche does not post location when sitting in their yard or at the port. No information posted until after it's put on the ship is the norm. Then there's often a day or two delay.

For those of us in Canada and some of Eastern Seaboard I think the next ship is February 6th and my dealer thinks mine will be on that one.

John in Vancouver

No news from the dealer today. Not just that he doesn't have any new news but just no communication at all. My hope is that it actually made it on a ship and he just isn't keeping up with it and Ill get an email saying it left port X days ago. Other option is that it's like John is saying that it missed this round and it won't make it on a ship till Feb 6th. Guess we will find out at some point.

FINALLY!! Got an email today saying the car is on vessel but he has no idea which one. Says he will know the vessel name sometime next week. So it appears I won't get much time to track the vessel by the time I get the name. However just glad to get the news it's finally crossing the pond!
