Congrats!!!
I'm very happy that you finally got a confirmation your ride is on the boat.
Good stuff!

When did that ship leave port? I have no idea what ship I'm on or when it got on the ship. Wondering it its on the same on as yours. I remember reading here that its like a week for the ship to make the crossing.

It's approximately 13 days from Emden to Brunswick according to the Volkswagen Logistics info for February.

It completed production on 1/22 and got on the vessel two days later.

Wow, that's quick. Mine was completed on the 21st and I just got confirmation it is on the vessel. So either mine took a lot longer to get on the vessel than yours did or it took a lot longer for my dealer to update me.
Would be nice to learn the ship name so I can backtrack its progress to see when it left port. Hopefully I get that I to next week as he stated. Seems like a long time to get the vessel name though.....

You guys are lucky. Mine was completed January 18 and still no confirmation of a ship. However, there aren't as many ships that come to Canada as the US. Next scheduled ship to Halifax is departing tomorrow (ship is in Bremerhavn today) so crossing my fingers.

Geez John I feel for you. It was making me nuts not having any communication from them. Hopefully your situation is like mine that you are just getting notified after the fact. Here's hoping your on tomorrow's ship!

OK, I'm officially going crazy (my friends say I got there years ago!).
Went in and checked and the ship my car is supposed/hoped to be on is docked in Emden.

What's worse, I did a satellite check and then drilled, down, down, down and see what looks like a white cab with red interior (you can get that close) and ducktail in the area where the 991's are kept waiting for a ship. Only one with red interior.

Bad news it's not on the jetty with other cars to be loaded on the Sincerity Ace. Actually there are no 991's on that jetty so I'm hoping they will be brought over as a group. The two areas appear to be only about a couple hundred yards apart. There's not that many in the 991 area.

Unless you tapped into one of our fine govt live satellites most of the one we can see are old. Some webcam update periodically but we can't usually see live satellite data. I know there are exceptions. Anyhow, my point is, if you are seeing old pictures than maybe your car is already on the ship. The dealer seems to get less than reliable ship info with respect to both name and date so young rely on them. In my case I am told its on a ship, but they have no idea which ship. How is that even possible??
So I totally feel your frustration, I just keep telling myself it will all work out and I'll get it soon. Not much more I can....

At the time I wrote about this before the ship had only been in the berth for an hour or two at most. The ship docked at about 4:30 am PST. While the satellite picture may/probably is 12 to 24 hours old the position of the ship is shown electronically on a basis that is updated every few minutes. The ship is at the dock but the satellite doesn't show it just shows an icon that actually names the ship.

Apparantly Porsche's mainframe system is hiccuping today and the dealer cannot even get into it to attempt at a status update.

co997, i feel your pain too. not sure what is up with your dealer, but the pcna web outage may explain? it happened when sandy hit too. the silver lining may be that since you are east coast, your transit time could be short? staying on the positive side here!

I am most definitely going on the assumption that our cars are on the correct ship and are headed to the correct country/port! I'm not at all counting on my dealer to give me accurate up to date info. My last communication from them was that it is on a ship so in my mind its on the water heading this way! On a personal note I wish I knew which ship so I could track its progress, cause that would be interesting, but so long as its coming I can live with that. I've stopped asking my dealer anything, just limits my chances of disappointment!

It's not the PCNA but rather Porsche in Germany's system that has hicupped. Given this will be my 13th Porsche of which 9 are/have been special order you'd think I would be used to it. WRONG!

By the way, the ship in question appears only to be going to Halifax. No US destinations named on the shipping information. It's the Sincerity Ace.
