Rev-Matching on Manual
I keep reading here that the Sport Chrono on a MT gets you rev-matching.
My 2013, built in August 2012, doesn't have it.
I understand that CarerraPete has it but how many other people actually have this on their 2CS with a manual?
Just stopped by my dealer yesterday and mentioned this to them and they have not seen it.

The feature was announced in late August 2012. Missed it by a scoshe.

Driving 911 cars with a manual gearbox and Sport Chrono pack can now be even sportier: In Sport Plus mode, the system automatically double-declutches during downshifts.

Sorry, but I believe if you need rev-matching, you should have bought one with PDK. Add parking sensors, enhanced braking, and you got yourself a mini-van.
I'm a purist. First 23 Porsches were air cooled and I still own 3 of them!

My base cab 7mt built in Dec 2012 has rev matching, but only with SC on. So it's pretty rare I use it. I find it fun to do it the old fashion way in normal or sport mode. Then when in sport + it does it for me. I find it revs the engine a bit more then when I do it manually but nevertheless it works great.
The rev matching feature on MT cars is only available as part of sport chrono package and only engaged in sport plus mode. I believe for Carrera and Carrera S these were introduced for the 2013 model years.
My 2014 Carrera S with sport chrono has the rev matching feature and I am in sport plus 95% of the time

I had a 2012 991 that did not have it. I now have a 2013 that does have it. I'm out of town and don't have access to build month...
Didn't think I would care but I really do like it.

friend has a cayman with rev matching in his 6 sp manual. Gotta say, I really love how it works and sounds.
I have a 2012 991 7spd too and don't have the feature with the SC.
Anyone know if the dealer can just update the software or how to get it to rev match?

Pretty sure the auto rev matching cannot be retrofitted.
Rev Matching on the MT cars was introduced part way through thee 2013 model run. My January '13 production 991S PDK does have rev matching and I love it. Porsche often introduces new things throughout the year. On my Macan Turbo I had the production delayed 60 days so I could get Sport Exhaust and Sport Design Body kit and a couple of other things that were announced after I ordered but in plenty of time to obtain but had to, as noted above, allow for two month + delay in production date.
What dealer did this COBB PCNA
I contacted PCNA and the said it was offered on 2014 and newer sport chrono cars only. They also said it was software not a different transmission. I also contacted COBB because if it'
A software upgrade they should be able to provide a flash.
What dealer did this as a forced update ?
