Also moved from an E92 to the P-world! Interesting that you decided on making the change before the F10 derivative is released. You are going to love the change - enjoy!

Cheers,

ditto, coming from a 330 cab to c2cab. while the power difference will be dramatic, i'm curious to see how i like the handling and front-rear weight distribution comparatively. the 3 series has such crisp handling and the 50/50 wt balance remains world class. a few test drives have helped solidify the major class upgrade with the 991, but looking forward to really parsing out its capabilities over the next 100k miles!

RIndy is infamous around these parts
My reference is a 135 coupe. It seems so balanced, with responsive engine(especially in sport mode) and great brakes. Everyone has told me that the 991s will be so much better - I can hardly wait. When I test drove car on three occasions I really could not get comfortable in someone else's car so I am looking forward to my own.

i totally agree with you. perhaps there is an art to the test drive i haven't quite mastered, but it just gives me a silhouette view of how the car drives. i won't really know how i feel about the 991 until about 4000 miles into it. but everything i can know about the car whether directly or indirectly, tells me it is gonna be an exhilarating 4k miles getting to know her!

The trick is to get it for a few days (long weekend)... or at least one full 24hrs.
It's amazing how the car comes alive and responds to your inputs when you get familiar with it and it with you.

30 minutes around the block just doesn't do it justice.
The good thing is, the best is still to come!
