A friend of ours wanted to get the new boxster s or the base 911 coupe

It was raining and wet and so it was a good test

Boxster s felt great , from a driving position , looks , pdk etc but rear tires were slipping when accelerating at medium throttle before the car could move forward. Around bends too in the wet the car was little nervous but still it felt great driving

Now we drove the 911 c2 and 911 c 4, omg the grip on the car even on the c2 was amazing , no slip when accelerating hard from a stop in wet conditions

And of course the c4 was even more grippier in wet conditions


I now know why the 911 base is more expensive , it just feels more satisfying to drive than Boxster s

Someone told me the boxster is 75% of 911 price, delivering 75% of 911 driving satisfaction and I think there Is some truth to it

Now my friend who had a budget of 90k is trying to figure out where to get the extra 30k for the base coupe with sunroof or 40 k for the base 911 cab, lol

All superior things cost money

 

Nice review thanks for sharing. Have to agree with you on the 991 - its a spectacular ride and actually think the base has just enough power to make it dangerous. I really enjoyed how I could push it to the limit without breaking too many laws - this made it more fun then the S in certain instances.
