You may be quite right there. But if the Fabspeed gives a 10% bump to him then what will a 10% bump do for me??
That's why I'm intrigued. Another way to squeeze out a bit more oomph is always good.
I guess I'm working on making a poor man's GT3, if a 991 can be considered 'poor man's'

Not an easy thing to with a guy who's general disposition toward acquiring knowledge is "question everything".

I can't wait to start doing some mods on my ride... ahem, when I actually get it that is.
Looking forward to hearing the drive by/off's!
Thanks Sid!! I think the last 2,000 miles have given me a better feel for the car, in terms of what I want from it power wise, because I have had to keep it under 4,200 rpm.

Now I cannot wait to see what mods you are going to do to yours!!!!

Thanks Mrstep. That SUV driver was not too happy with me. She took so long coming into that turn that I decided to sink the boot and take the turn in front of her instead of waiting to get caught behind her for the next mile doing 20mph.

Thanks Stalker. There are some great twisties around these parts but we also have plenty of deer.

DBYT, you did the right thing - I mean, just imagine your video had you been stuck behind her. But seriously, I'm fine if someone is going to at least do the limit (OK, not happy, but at least tolerant) or limit + 5/+10, but it drives me NUTS when people go cruising along at 10 or 15 under the limit on a 35 road. It's terrible when you yield only to realize that the person is coming slower than expected and you've waited too long. (Shudder)

We have plenty of twisty 2-lane roads near where I am in Northern VA, and getting stuck also means potentially a few miles of aggravation - with double-lines making sure you don't get any ideas. Given the number of blind corners and hill crests, I do respect those lines, just not the twits going 20!

No drone with the Maxflo mufflers at all. I actually went in wanting to get the race exhaust but the guys told me for everyday driving, the race exhaust produced a fair bit of drone and suggested the Maxflo side mufflers.

Thanks Nicoli. Am happy to put up information as it provides a frame of reference for others considering the same mods.

Hahaha. Thanks mrstep. I HAD to do it! The vid would not have been good if I had been stuck behind that SUV. I have yielded on a few occasions, only to be stuck behind a crawler with nowhere to safe to pass for miles. Only ever seems to happen when I am running late.

OK guys, here is a 2nd go at filming with the GoPro. I put the camera close to the exhaust and it helped.

Nice work on the mods Darren. I think I will definitely consider them. I know this is probably a silly question but these mods do not affect the warranty of the vehicle?

Cheers mate and happy driving.

This vid definitely caught more of the lower frequency sound (which the sat/sub setup at my desk reproduces fairly nicely). Sounds great!

Good move. Sounds good in the video. I too would like a little more aggression from the exhaust and who doesn't want more power (although I don't need any more top end - I'd prefer a boost under 5000 rpms where I can use the power more frequently). I was considering cats, but I need 100% bulletproof reliability no check engine lights. Also, I want to preserve the 7th gear quiet highway cruising ability with the exhaust "off". Is your car still tame in 7th with the sport buttons off?

You just did the mufflers and the cold air, right? How much was it with labor if you don't mind me asking?

DRP
