Sport Chrono - Question
With the PDK in manual mode, does the Sport Chrono Pack make any difference?
I have a friend who has a 991 on order and he said that he will always use the PDK in manual mode (paddle) and because of it, he doesn't need Sport Chrono. I'm not sure if he is right!!! Hehe! I know that his order is not locked yet!

Quicker more aggressive shifts, less intrusive stability control, sharper throttle response, dynamic engine mounts, launch control, enhanced sport exhaust tone - SC is definately a must have on a PDK car.

You are the third person I heard say this. What do they do that would warrant the non-SC package to NOT have these? I mean - if they make such a difference, why not include them as the base package (or is this yet more marketing)?
I personally enjoy the way the Dynamic Mounts settle the car down in the corners and over pitching terrain. But most of all, I'm impressed with how they help reduce the vertical oscillation of the engine under full load, which results in smoother delivery of a larger amount of power to the rear axle.
Bottom line: Increased traction and better acceleration.
I suppose if Porsche did include all the performance options with the car, the base price would seem quite exorbitant to some individuals.
Now, if only winter would go away!
