Ordered wrong wheels.. East switch?

I forgot to order the Sport Classic Wheels for my 4S. I will be getting the 20" regular (no money extra) version. My 4S is on the Gentle Leader Vessel on its way to port.
Any idea and/or info on how best to upgrade to the Sport Classic Wheels?

Thanks
Ed-

I asked my dealer the same question. During the long wait I've changed my mind on the wheels many times. The short answer from them is that they do not stock wheels, I can buy them but they cost much more then when you purchase the car. He said the best option was to see what cars he had on the lot and if I wanted he would exchange them with one of his cars on the lot, with me paying the difference of course. So we will see when the car comes in what happens.

You want Carrera Classics or Sport Classics? As far as I know Sport Classics (Fuchs) are not avaliable yet in the 991 as Std equipment.

I have a set of Carrera Classics that i took off in favor of the sports design wheels. They are essentially new. I am planning on putting them up for sale soon. Let me know if u are interested in them.

You are lucky to find a dealer that will make a switch like that. Most won't because the other car's window sticker specifies a particular wheel, plus it will alter the MSRP of the car based on the exchanged wheel. I have never talked to a dealer that will do that.

My 991 is a 4s which would mean your wheels are a bit smaller... Correct?

Well, we will see what happens when the car shows up. I can't imagine it's hard for them to print a new window sticker, but you never know. I was actually surprised they wouldn't have any in stock, it a larger dealer. I just need to see the car in person with the wheels on and see if I like it as is.

The C4S wheels are definitely larger than the C2 Wheels so I guess I'll keep looking. I will contact my dealer and see if he can make the switch but I doubt it. I see the Classic Wheels are selling for $6K and the Carrera S wheels I will have are selling for $5K. I wonder if I can sell them to a Dealership (like suncoast or my dealer) and buy the Classic ones from a dealership??

Are you sure they are larger in width? I believe the Sport Technos are the only wider wheels in the range. I find it hard to believe Porsche would introduce a slightly wider rear wheel with the same design for the C4S.

The rear C4S wheel has a 305 tire and the offset of the wheel is lower compared to C2S.

Now that is a dumb process on their behalf! Seriously good way to increase costs and proliferation in the plant. Oh well..........

The body is diff, so to get the wheel pushed out, they had to reduce the offset. Widebody P cars normally have different spec wheels.

Oh I understand why............. Just in this day and age you would think engineering could take care of it. Just thinking out aloud. Yes I get their reasoning and I am sure they know better
