Home Link Programming Instructions

Anyone have HomeLink Programming Instructions for the 991 ?

I received a 997 manual with my 991

Salesman said they don't have the new manuals at the time of delivery (December 2012)

Thanks

Aiming the garage door opener remote at my frunk area did not work, as it directs you to do in the manual. I had to press the learn button on the overhead garage door opener and then the homelink button in the car in order for it to learn. If you have a garage door opener that has a roaming code, you have to do this procedure a couple of times. I took some self notes, which will involve you getting a ladder to reach the learn button on the overhead, going to the car, going back to the overhead to check, etc, etc. Guess it would save you some trips if you have someone to help you. Hope this helps.

Program Garage Opener

• Press Learn button on overhead. Learn light should blink.

• Press Home Link button within 30 seconds.

• Overhead Learn light should be steady.

• If steady, press Home Link button again. Learn light should go out.

• Repeat 2 more times and then test.

The procedure is the same as the 997, except the transmitter is in the right front bumper. That's where you need to hold the remote to program the car.

Only Porsche would need three pages of instructions for what used to be a simple procedure. Don't even get me started on the 195 page PCM manual .
