Platinum Silver on a cloudy day (pics)
While I love the shots of your beautiful car, I really envy that switch back curve in the road. Nothing like it here in SoFL.
The PSE, I'm told (since nobody else has driven my car yet), sounds much better from the outside than it does on the inside, even with the windows down and the sunroof open.

Thank you. I was lucky in my choice of wheels. It was risky as the only person I knew who had them at the time and could provide a picture of them on a platinum silver car was AG991.
Thank you.

No no, not me drifting!

I've taken some turns there very spiritedly but am always reminded of the time when I let a very good friend drive my new 997 C4S up that road and the poor fellow lost it and we ended up sliding down a gravel patch off the road!
No damage done except to our pride but it could have been nasty. chuck, I'd agree. I just love the pdcc and S-PASM combo. I think they are the optimum factory options for stance and sporty look and performance.
Thank you GS. I know some folk find silver to be boring and quite common. I love it on the 991. The colour hides dirt well and I'm not having to clean it incessantly.
They definitely do
Despite what some people may have told you, keep posting (tons) of pics! I would have been glad to give some more positive rep', but I need to 'spread' some more first
Since I can not give rep' right now, here's some eye candy from Sid's usual source...

Haku, awesome pictures! I only wish I had the photographic prowess to have pictures like those from my car.
On the other hand, I like your wheels! I have the stock Carrera S wheels, but I believe the satin platinum gives the car a more "racy" look. The thing is that painting the wheels is like a trip of no return in case I want to return to the stock look. Buying the same wheels on a different color would be crazy. Enjoy your beautiful roads!

Haku,
Great pictures as always.
I need to take and post more shots as well, but they will not be as good, I don't have a great eye, or great roads like yours.
Your point about how dynamic a color the PtAg a great one. I noticed the same thing on the first weekend I picked up the car. It was March 30 a year ago. I got the car, picked up a buddy, and drove to Atlantic City to celebrate. Bright day and the car looked silver. The next day was cloudy with a strange almost sephia quality to the light. The car took on an almost champaign color. It was strange and captivating. I labored over getting the GT silver as it is a great pure color. Next to a pure silver, our color looks more like a color that the Mercedes people call pewter. But I find the camilion-like nature of PtAg to be endlessly fascinating.
I am glad you love yours and are enjoying it so much!
Keep those pictures coming and I will try to do the same.
Thank you

Yes, with PtAg its like having a new colour every day! On a side note, I've got to say that's its one of the easiest colors to keep clean. Its a huge issue for me because i am besotted about having the clean.
The weather today was glorious and I went on a 100+ mile fun drive with my wife. TN mountain roads galore! The car is simply fabulous and as I've mentioned before, is probably the most versatile 911 that I've owned. I love it!
ag991 is right, you do have a great eye for these shots! my wife wants an dslr for her birthday, which i was secretly happy to get not just for her, but so i can post better quality pics of my 991 when it arrives....does that make me a bad husband?
Hi - I just found this post and love your pics!
I have a 2013 Carrera S in Platinum Metallic with the polished wheels and I am thinking of having my wheels refinished in the Platinum Satin. Yours is the only car I've seen that way. Any other photos of it, in the sun perhaps?
I'm really torn if I want to take the risk to change the color or not.
My wheels all have some dings, scratches and some chunks of finish missing, and the previous owner must have had them refinished by a hack.
Thanks!
John
