SharkWerks TechArt 991 with HRE P40SC and Brembo BBK
This agate grey SharkWerks project 991S graced the cover of Total 911 Magazine Issue 97, titled "991 Perfection" but that was round one. For a second helping an even lighter-weight set of HRE P40SC wheels and larger 380mm Brembo Brake kit was on the menu:

Just a quick test fit of the satin black HRE P40SC's...

Factory 4-piston rears:

And 6-piston fronts straight off of a Cayenne:

The Brembo big brake kit laid out. Including 380mm replacement rotors, SS lines et al:

Not only are the new rotors significantly larger vs stock but their two piece design (aluminium hat) is also lighter of course. So for those of us 911-weight watchers out there.... here come the fronts at 20.1 pounds:

vs stock 23.8 pounds

Front measurement

vs stock:

Front assembly installed:

Now the rears at come in at 17.1 pounds:

vs stock at 19.33 pounds

Rear measurement:

vs Stock rear:

Larger calipers and improved piston design does add a bit more weight back again. The new front 6-piston Monoblock Brembo yellow calipers come in at 12.1 pounds:

vs stock 11.4 pounds:

And the new 4-piston rears come in at 9.44 pounds:

vs stock 8.8 pounds:

Rear assembly also installed:

The newly released 991 TechArt roof spoiler was also added in addition to the full Type 1 conversion:

Time to go bed some brakes in following Brembos "break-in" procedure:

And a few beauty shots of HRE's satin black 20-inch P40SC Monoblok wheel:

The fronts:

And lowered with TechArt springs:

The full monty:

Cheerio!

The rotor diameter is significantly larger too and has better cooling properties so I'm more comfortable using a more aggro pad
Suspension is the TechArt spring kit.
Nicely done!
What pads are you running with this kit? I just had a very bad experience with FM1000 that came with the kit (dead in 3 track days -just regular DE's-) and i just switch to HP2000. Are you aware of more aggressive aftermarket pads for this kit?

Thanks and it's the hp2000. Did you run the slotted or drilled? Hmm I know the fM1000s are more of a street pad but you're right pad choice is a bit limiting at the moment. I'll try to find out Monday.
I ran slotted on my first 991 and now drilled on the 2nd. Except for the pads (first set of pads on the drilled were the FM1000) there is no real difference. When taking the car with the OEM brakes to the track, all the wholes would immediately be filled with dust brake. This is not a problem with the Brembo BBK.

Thanks mate!
Cheers dude... how's your beast doing
?
Thank you sir! Need to get our exhaust on your TT S
It's gnarly but no resonance!
Factory sizing in 20 however with more aggressive offsets to counter the lowering springs
They're about 3 pounds per corner lighter and 5 per side in the rear....
Very good info on this... Appreciate it!
Hey how's it going you
