In my opinion, all of the Porsche silvers (GT, Arctic, Platinum, and now Rhodium) are great. You really can't go wrong, although some exteriors go better with certain interiors. The whole warm/cool color thing.

I look forward to seeing Rhodium in person. None of the photos (particularly the configurator) really do them justice due to the way they change with lighting conditions.

Interesting that Platinum was discontinued. Still, you should be able to order it at a higher price. I loved Arctic silver too actually. And of course I loved GT silver. Let's hope we don't exactly match the Jag color. Gotta stay independent!

I can't see it being the exact same color as the jag.

I hope not. The silver on the Jags looks too washed out IMO.

Hopefully some definitive pictures of rhodium surface soon. The 911 configurator shows it as lighter than GT, but the Cayman config shows it as considerably darker (between GT and Agate). Clearly one of those is a misrepresentation, so no idea what to think. My hunch is the darker one is right though. It appears to be a new, distinct color we haven't seen.

The one thing I learned when I made the decision between GT Silver and Platinum Silver was that you can't tell the difference on photographs. There are just too many variables, from exposure over sensor idiosyncrasies to display issues. You can see a difference when you take a photo of two different silvers right next to each other, but the difference will not match the difference in real life, so it's a bit worthless except for very coarse statements like "it's a bit cooler", etc.

I know you all wish you could see it online but you can't. I've been there.

However, as a previous poster mentioned, all Porsche colors are great.

I think this is same color as Audi 2013 Quartz Grey Metallic. Has a very slight blue cast i.e. picks up blue from sky in bright Florida sun. Like it a lot. Ordered my 2014 C4S in this color

Not buying it. Especially with looking at pictures of the Rhodium 918. If they were to make it a color between the GT Silver (which is fairly dark for a silver) and Agate, then it would be more like a Meteor Grey, and they would then call it 'Grey' and not 'Silver'.

Just IMHO.

Pics below are from the Cayman config. Mind you, Platinum and GT are about equally bright. Their difference is in undertone. Clearly Rhodium is considerably darker. Strangely the opposite is true in the 911 config.

Platinum

Rhodium

Anyway, if the 918 is in fact Rhodium, it looks great. Thanks for sharing Lebreeze. But I guess we'll just have to wait til they ship the new 911s. All of the silvers are special as mentioned. Hot/cold is exactly what I'm trying to discern. Prefer warmth and I'm trying to see if my once platinum config works with Rhodium.

I have no doubt that the rhodium is more "silver". I have the platinum silver now and it definitely is more a light pewter (at least in my opinion) and I have no doubt rhodium will not have the same undertone - possible another. But I have to say, the configurator $UC&S when it comes to color and detail. I expected better.

And I am very happy with the color I have.

I would never order a color I have never seen on an actual vehicle. Too risky. Color preference is extremely subjective. Pictures never truly represent the actual color. Colors look different in different lighting conditions and manufacturers are constantly changing hues.

I look forward to seeing this in person. In the photos, it looks similar to GT Silver, but perhaps with more blue.
