Well I've contacted a local guy, will come by my place tomorrow to fix it. Said he will make it look like nothing ever happened. He quoted me am price of $225 (he charged me extra since I was outside his area). Will report back on the results.

Thanks for all your advice. The reason I'm hiring a pro is this car is barely 2 weeks old, and I want to make it look like new. That most certainly won't happen if I do it myself. Hopefully this guy backs up his claims. Seemed to get good reviews on yelp so we'll see.

Best of luck! Please post results as well as your area so others can avail themselves if the work is good. Thx,

The $225 is nothing when you add in the "piece-of-mind" factor. Best of luck!

Problem fixed!

So the person I called managed to fix the paint flawlessly! You really cannot tell that anything happened! I've included pics and I didn't even know where to zoom in because the fix was that perfect. Took a little over an hour. My baby looks good as new and I couldn't be happier!

I've now updated my info so it shows that I'm in LA. If anyone is interested, the guy's name is German and you can look him up in Yelp under WestValley Bumper Repair Mobile Service.

I'm not affiliated with him in any way btw, just a very satisfied customer!

I guess you will be keeping German in your phone book.

Looks like he did a great job, congrats on that.

Did you happen to watch how he did it. Did he layer the paint and the use machine to buff out or was it all done by hand?

That is fantastic!!! Congratulations! I'm sure that took a big load off your mind. I would have been going nuts until it was repaired. Did you ask Porsche how much? Obviously it would have taken a week instead of an hour too.

AWESOME!! Really Happy for you! . I know how it makes me feel when something happens to my car, so I can totally relate. Did you watch him repair it? If so, what was the process?

I can still spot the scratch.

Jokes aside, came out great! Can you share what he did to restore that?

Thanks everyone! Yep, it was definitely a huge load off my mind.

I didn't watch him fix it, but he told me he would basically paint over the scratch, add a clear coat, and sand everything down to match the rest of the paint.

BTW, I've also posted a link to a photoshoot in this thread.
