Sirius - sales call to sign up
Never did renew my SiriusXM after the triel ended. Sound quality is getting worse even HD radio sounded better.
The cheapest is $25/6 months but you have to call every time your 6 months is almost up, telling them you wanted to cancel it and they'll offer the $25/6mo as their last resort.

So I'm not just imagining this? The music sounds like it has a horrible sample rate, or too much compression, etc...
Definitely not suitable for decent systems.

Think cable with too many channels pushed through the pipe...they are variable bit rate and VERY low to start with. Talk channels are even lower. If you want background noise other than your car or the wind and just listen to talk radio they are OK. As Porsche has made their cars quieter inside and with better audio systems you can really hear the difference with lower bit rate music compared other music you may listen to (certainly lossless, 320kbps mp3 or even HD radio depending on the number of subchannels).
Doesn't your PCM Nav adapt to traffic congestion and re-route you if appropriate?
However, I thought that the PCM Nav didn't have access to traffic data unless you subcribed to the Sirius feed.
You're right, it requires Sirius. Got confused with my BMW X6M; dynamic re-route is always real-time and free.
Mine's about $12 a month but I have the car and the home radio.
Yup def sounds as though the sound quality is deteriorating.
