Congrats. You do realize the car from Annapolis has (had) a much higher MSRP and many more options? Either way P car is P car. Use in good health!

Michael, yes I know that. I plugged the numbers into my calculator and figured out the discount which was very good, which included no out of pocket.

I know it's a bit stripped down, but I really wanted to keep the payments down.

Thanks everyone.

Congrats! I got my car at Paul Miller too (built to spec). Used Norman Mandell over there. I also thought they were great.

I'd give them 101k and maybe end at 103k. Nice car.

That's not bad. It doesn't have a sports exhaust which is a drawback. And the other one I am looking at is this 2012 C2S which has the exhaust but doesn't have PDK. Do you reckon this will be much less than the 13 C4S?

I would prefer a C4S over a C2S, which should be less than the C4S. Don't worry about PSE you can go to Sharkwerks or Fabspeed to get the growl. But I personally would not look at a car without PSE, PDK, and paddles.

Personally, I would never buy again. My father purchased a Lexus LX, one of the big 4x4s. He paid I think around 65k for it. About 6 months into the purchase, he was rear ended. It was not bad at all. I think about 3k worth of damage. After 3 years, when he went to trade the car in, The Lexus dealer would not give him good value for the car because he could not CPO it. It took him 6 months to sell the car and he wound up selling it 10k below book with 22k miles. The car was in great condition, but had a car accident on the car fax.

This entire fiasco really turned me off to leasing. I figured paying about $100-$150/month to ensure against this scenario or against dramatic residual drop. The residual on my car is 82k after 2 years. I'm confident I can find a better equipped 12.5 991 with very low miles for less.

I do agree with your overall assessment. Less to worry about with a lease. Your residual is guaranteed. Purchasing is like self insuring - it's cheaper but only if you are comfortable bearing the risk on your own books. For me I'm fine with that risk because I have a couple of million in cash and liquid assets and a large enough paycheck that I do what optimizes expected return. I'd rather buy at 1.9% interest than lease at 4.8% interest. It's just a better deal and either way I won't have $100k tied up in a depreciating asset.

FYI If you're paying a premium of 150 a month as insurance against diminished value then you are assuming that 50% of your cars are involved in an accident which results in loss of VIN numbered body panels (not just bumper). I'm sure your risk isn't that high!
