And in JerZ, 176 feet is like three traffic lights - you will never make them all before reaching your top speed of 35 mph! Xenon is plenty!

Well, you know any 911 produced after August 2012 (the final merger) is really just a VW Beetle, sports edition! I even saw a Beetle with a "turbo" sticker on the doors - I almost drove off the road laughing - but now that I think about it...

Have to agree. As if Bi-Xenons are just obsolete all of a sudden. They're incredible as is. You'd think the LEDs are x-ray beams or something.

Thank you for all of this talk, I am about ready to order a 2014 GT3 and kept adding the LED'S and now after reading the input by all of you I just saved over 3K. I owe all of you, send me a bill but do not put it on your current receivables.

Looks like the 911 is looking to make a move on the beetle, while the beetle feels creeped out and is shifting to the right....

Looks like the DRL setting, and similar to the turbo (and some GTS) optioned Cayennes and Panamera's lighting. Granted they may look cool, but do they function $3K better? I don't know. I'll wait to see them in person. Certainly they will be plug-and-play compatible, so foregoing the decision to have them factory installed isn't permanent.

May not be the case, if you opted code 602 (LED headlight), you could not select code CVW (rear view mirror in leather) which is selectable with Non LED headlight. Something must have been different there as well.

That's right. LED comes with PDLS+. The camera for the High Beam Assist of the PDLS+ is mounted in the mirror housing. That's why the leather rear view mirror isn't selectable.

LEDs

LEDs are about 1500-1600 more than the Xenon PDLS package. I chose them for two reasons: PDLS plus gives you the auto high beam dimming function and it is linked into the GPS to activate sidelights at intersections to prevent getting T-boned. I thought PDLS plus was expensive but somewhat justified for those reasons.

My two cents.
