No thanks. I will just buy a Turbo S in a few years where the lights are "thrown in."

I have LEDs throughout my house including the long 4' tubes that replace fluorescent bulbs and I didn't pay $3000 for all of them combined.

What do you expect from a company that charges $380 for a leather fuse box cover?

As a point of reference, LED headlights were a $3500 option on an Audi R8. Until they became standard as of 2014. Porsche is only one model cycle behind their sister company.

I'm going to skip it. Maybe the pics aren't doing them justice. Never really been a fan of LEDs anyways. I also love the current lights. 2 months and counting. Can't wait

Many folks would say...a Porsche?!? Have we lost all perspective?

Halogen headlights - Long life
Xenon headlights - Efficiency, better driver visibility, longer life than halogen
LED headlights - Lower power consumption, Better form factor manipulation

I can't see LED headlights myself (no pun intended), but to each his own. These cars are certainly discretionary purchases and if someone is willing to spend the money for this option...go for it. They should be fun to compare with the xenons.

Considering they can't be any brighter than normal lights because of government regulation, the extra cost seems kind of pointless. If they had a brighter off road setting, I could justify the price. Off road led lightbars are crazy bright.

Going 110 on a dark twisty road in the middle of nowhere, I would take the best lighting option possible if I could. Never skimp on lighting. Never. If I just drove boulevard style, and wanted a Porsche for other reasons then I guess not.

I have over 2k in Lupine led lights for my mountain bike so the price probably isn't that bad. You definitely want bright lights on the trail that use little power.
