Has Porsche added a time stamp to the file? If not, good luck proving it was them.

I know launch control was not used as that would provide a .99 or 1.00 G force, and I'm not worried about over revs as I have a PDK. I took pics and videos before and after pickup showing the front of the store as well as date and time with the PCM screen and max g force screen, so they can't deny it was them, and the owner isn't denying it either and is upset that an employee will do that.
I'm going to demand for either fenders wrapped in clear bra or $400 refunded on my bill, as that's what it would take for a stranger to floor my car without me in it during break in period. It cost money in the real world to do that, just as it does in my car. Heck one of the reasons I ordered the car was to break it in to the T from mile 1 (or mile 11 in my case).

But thanks again everyone for the advice and replies! Love this forum.

Oh but to answer your question Ajax, I believe you must have the electronic logbook option on the car for time stamps, unfortunately I do not have that option.

These cars could really use a Valet Mode option...

Are there any hills in your area? Ramps could also set off the G meter. I see this quite a bit entering parking garages.
Just playing devils advocate here.

No the area was very flat. And the garage is same level as parking lot.

Oh and I have confirmed (from older posts on here and Rennlist) that 1G is with launch control, and around .7 is full throttle without launch control. But if others have more info on this please correct me! All I know is I have yet to get to .7.

I agree these cars really should have valet mode. The owner of the shop called back and talked to the guy who drove it, turns out the guy had already put in his two weeks notice a week ago and just didnt give a **** at that point. Owner seems very reputable and am sure this will be resolved in a positive manner. I really want it to as I wish to give the owner good reviews as he is very nice. Ideally, the person who drove my car should install additional clear bra but without labor pay, but that would just result in a crappy installation. I just do not have it in me to not go after guys like this (mechanics, valet driver, installers) and I believe every time someone is put in a similar situation, they need to go after those guys. Systems need to be put into place to ensure this should never happen.

Just thinking out of the box, there's actually another way to get the 0.7g other than accelerating hard - braking while the car is going in reverse! I tested it this morning backing out of the driveway and I was able to get high 0.4s without being overly aggressive hitting the brakes and only moving slowly. Braking can slow the car at over 1g, it just doesn't have to be in a forward direction!

But anyway, ArashApollo sounds like the shop owner is going to make good. Don't beat the owner up too much for what the bad employee did.

That's the problem. Owners have to step up and take responsibility for the actions of their employees. A customer should only have to register the complaint, that's it. Having to fight for what you originally bargained for (a competent job done safely without abusing your property) is disgusting.

In this business climate only someone who wants to close down the business can afford to have unsatisfied or unhappy customers. The only things that travels faster than complements are the words of an angry customer. Don't believe me...just re-read this thread.

Very well put rnl!

I'm either going to post negative or very positive comments on the business depending on the outcome. I hope for everyone's sake I will be put in a position to post positive reviews in all possible outlets. I love helping out small businesses, but the good need to be separated from the bad. At the moment things seem good fortunately.

The install isn't great but isn't that bad either. It is a kit install and reliefs are precut into it so cutting on the paint isn't needed. BUT the first pic where the edge is cut out looks like it was done by hand and could have been into the paint. The bubbles will not go away... they are air bubbles but its an easy fix. Sorry to hear about the driving. I am a mobile installer so I never drive clients cars but honestly wouldn't even if they were brought to me as to not have the liability. The shop owner is responsible for the people under him... and why the hell he had a guy driving cars that had already put in his notice is beyond me.
