Ordering Advice Requested
I chose painted interior trim (the horizontal band of aluminum-looking stuff that runs across the dashboard and the doors) in the exterior color to break up the vast sea of Luxor Beige which is everywhere in the interior. WHen making this choice one has to also paint the bright aluminum trim on the console and that was just too much red and made it too busy but they give you the alternative of covering that in leather, so I did.
I figured the voice control is a good idea since the sport steering wheel doesn't have any controls on it so I can change radio stations, dial numbers, search on the navigation, etc. without having to look down and push any buttons.

Be aware that if you waded into the deviating stitching and deviating leather pool that you can create a Frankenstein build where stitching, leather, and non-leather parts don't match.
For example the steering column casing stitching cannot be customized and won't match any customized stitching.
Also if you deviate the upper dash color, some parts remain the base interior color, and the dash is a dual color mess.
I did wade into the deviated stitching pool and eliminated the painted interior trim. I'll now have red stitching on the dash, the seats, and doors upper and doors lower with armrest, and along the inside wall of the back. Added white dials, too. Now I'm done.
Does PASM affect ride comfort in normal, not sport mode? I like the idea of lowering the car for aesthetics but when I had my R8 lowered it made the ride a lot rougher. The price of PASM really isn't all that much so I am strongly considering it since YRRALIS1 recommended it so highly.

Well...with a base Carrera I would get PDK because of the performance gains... uninterrupted power while shifting - I think with the 3.4 liter engine it's a good advantage. I also recommend Sport Chrono package with PDK - didn't see it on your options list.
My build sheet has changed since I started this thread but it is now an S & does include PDK and Sport Chrono. I'm going to pass on the PASM because my wife will hang the front spoiler up on parking curbs and scrape it going up and down steep entrances. Thanks for all the feedback, folks! It's been very helpful (and expensive!) but well worth it and I'm grateful for it. My first Porsche is going to be amazing!
This is incorrect. All MT cars received the rev matching feature with Sport Chrono after it was revealed at the 4S launch. I have a base car and can confirm this. It's fantastic

Quoted from link --
Chassis project manager for the 991, Ulrich Mobitzer, explained the new and improved PASM for us. Whereas prior to now there was only one acceleration sensor on the left side of each axle, there are now three acceleration sensors and one wheel travel sensor at each hub. As with the extensive steering work, this PASM has been honed to greatness and the three modes—Normal, Sport, Sport Plus—are distinctly separate and each is much more sophisticated beneath us in its own right.
