Laser Interceptor Install

Anyone installed or had installed a quad/dual LI on their 991?

Would appreciate any feedback and tips for the installer up here in the cold, rainy, windy hell hole of Washington.

thx

I am in the process of doing the same thing. I won't call MI a hellhole but we have a but of cold rain and wind none of which I plan to drive in.

i lived in Detroit 20 years, everytime i go back the streets are still like bombed out Beruit.

please keep me posted on your progress of the LI install.

where u planning on going quad or dual? im currently think just the dual in front since the WSP 99% shoots along side of road and not on overpasses or entrance ramps.

I was going to go quad. Might as well cover all the angles if you are going to do it.
It also gives you rear detection.

The city of Detroit has suffered through too many corrupt politicians. It is a shame really a riverfront city that should have a lot to offer. I live in the suburbs that are really quite nice. I grew up in NY from LI, through the city to upstate so I have a little experience when it comes to cities.

I'm from the Seattle area too...very interested in how your experience with LI vs WSP goes!!! Still waiting on my 991 but looking at the same systems you did. Who are you using for install? Good luck and look forward to your feedback.

the installer selection is the big problem im running into right now. bellevue place is outrageous (can afford 10 tickets before it would start to pay off). others in seattle are all talk so far....sure we can do it, no problem!!!! then never get a call back once they come off of their drugs or whatever.

im going to keep working on it with LI, K40 G5 diffuer,???...........until it is not possible, at which time i will drive the speed limit on i5 and just go out in the flats of skagit county to open it up once in a while

detroit shooter, trysixty:

checking in with you guys...any updates on the LI install? my research is leading me toward your setup as well. i noticed that their website has standard vs. high power models. what did you guys go for? also, where in the world on a 991 would the rear sensors go?

also their website packages the STIR plus with LI but not the 9500ci. it that the package you guys picked? (there were several others bundled with the LI as well) let us know how LI integrates with your radar system of choice. good luck!

every installer recommended in my area by LI will NOT do the work on a porsche, especially 991.

Did you ask the dealer if they would do the job or for a referral to someone who will?

We have an indy up in North Vancouver, BC that installs these in Porsche's all the time. Don't know if he's done a 991 yet but plan on asking once I finally get mine.
