Dual sounds questionable. Does dual cover the back? With all the work put in seems like you should cover both ends.

here's my screwed up logic on dual vs quad................

95%+ of lasers shot by police are from the front/oncoming (washington is 100%)

routing the wiring for the back transmitters through the engine bay is not worth it IMO.

I put one in my GTR .I than tested it with a friend who is a Trooper. The unit warned me. But he still got a speed on me. We did the test 4x.I was going 90 mph and when he got the speed on his unit it said 70.I am a bit confused over this ?Any ideas? It shouldn't give a speed on his unit .

wouldnt it depend if the unit was on constant jamming or on pulse (allows you 10 secs to slow down and then allows police to read so they dont get you for jammimg}?

I had a local installer put a the Blinder compact with triple sensors (two front and one rear) and the STIR plus. Seems to work fine. I coped SM ATL's idea and put a small light in the dash - it's green when the detector is not going off, but flashes red when it is. Gives a second visual since the primary unit is mounted between the seats in the tray.

Here are some pics. SM ATL put his light in a slightly different location, but the concept is the same.

Mine is not installed yet but I have a mirror display install. I hope it all works out but my logic is simple. I am not going to drive with abandon after it is installed and I hope it works. I have the financial mojo to handle whatever happens but I would rather not stand in front of the judge and explain myself.

The last car I had with any power was a BMW 550. 360hp of fun but no where near this cars league. I defiantly get a case of the 16 year olds in this car once a day. Honestly you went this far skipping the rear emitters is weird. Is it the money? At this point in the process I think you have gotten over then money or you would have gotten a vett.

stir bel plus, laser interceptor hp quads, radar mirror custom install

here are some cellphone pics of my install. some quick notes: i had the install at benchmark motoring with justin kairis. he took great care of me through the whole process, i highly recommend them! thanks to nicoli for the referral...

bel stir plus console installed seamlessly into the ashtray, radar mirror with red display LED has no problems with visualization, laser interceptor quads installed (2 front and 2 back).

nice and clean!

Can anyone recommend a top-notch installer in the MD/DC/VA area? I'd love to have something like Oldman's!

That's a great install! I currently have the 9500ci and LI dual, after owning several brands over the years, this setup is the absolute best setup. I have been hit more times than I can count here in northern VA and they have saved me every time. Quad is overkill IMO because usually the 9500 goes off if they are hitting other cars from the back, therefore u slow down anyways. It's obvious since the LI doesn't go off and you get Laser warning on the 9500. Now if you are the only one on the road, that's a different story.

Is that mirror setup for the 9500 display? where can I get more info?
