C2S vs C4S Question
Thanks! My salesman said the same: "If you want my personal opinion stay with the rear wheel drive. You will find it much more balanced and fun. The AWD gets a bit heavy...you can actually feel it. "
He also said: "The extra width is cool but it sits about an inch higher. The wheel gap kills me."
My reply to him was that someday I may just indulge my attraction to the wide body by ordering a Turbo. So you, my salesman and I are on the same page.

On another note, rwd + wide body with the comfort of regular Carreras = 991 50th. In case that's what you really wanted.
There's another thing that isn't mentioned here. The electric powersteering seems to be better in the C4S according to the guy in this video.
I drove both the C2S and C4S in rainy weather before I saw this video and I had the feeling that it actually was better and after seeing the video I was sure it was not just me thinking that.
I went for the C4S for other reasons (living in Switzerland, for me 4wd is the obvious choice for a daily driver for all seasons and I just liked the looks of it).
In Florida you don't need the 4wd really, but the fact that the powersteering is better can be a thing to think of.
Good luck with whatever choice you make!

Is there a special 50th anniversary 991 wide-body edition coming out? All I've seen is rumor that there'll be a GT3 and a Turbo S with 50th anniversary livery but nothing about a 991S. I'll be pretty unhappy - as will a lot of people who are waiting on their orders - to learn that we just missed a chance to order a special edition model.

Here are some info about it,
3.8L (same 400hp with X51 as option), widebody(+44mm), rwd
3 exterior color: solid black and 2 new greys ( metallic and non)
Choices of interior: black leather + dark grey cloth inserts, agate grey + light grey cloth inserts, full black leather and full agate grey leather. Both full leathers are required when opting front seat ventilation.
And a lot of other special exclusive trims but I think let the official announcement break its cover.
If that's sounded all good, I guess the only problem now is to find allocation spot. Only 1963 will be built and it has limitation numbered badge.
If there is such a 50th anniversary edition in black or 2 new grays, I won't feel I've missed out because I'm going to share my first P-car with my wife and she's sold on Guards with Luxor, so it's all good.
I got the 4S and paid premium because (in order of preference):
1. Wider rear end
2. Unique rear lights strip
3. Grip of awd
4. Naturally aspirated (not a turbo fan)
4. Being different than the majority of 991s you see on the road
Drive both and go for what you like.

Sanibel, the 991 generation is the only generation where a C4S is faster than a C2S under any driving/weather conditions. The new C4S starts in rear wheel drive under normal conditions, and the torque starts shifting to the front wheels after you start to drift, and believe me it does drift "A LOTTTT"...So if you're a good driver, and you live somewhere where you could push the car and drive fast, pay the extra money without ANY hesitations

)disagree, on the track the c4s understeered way more.
I'm very happy with my choice of the C2. I also didn't choose SPASM or PDCC because of where, how & most importantly - who - will be driving the car. I'll be sharing this car with my wife, even though most of the time I'll be driving it. It has to be tame and quiet enough for her trips to the market but still be fun for me to let her rip on occasion. More than that will be unnecessary and will go unused/unappreciated.
