C2S vs C4S Question
Well dear Kozmo69, you could disagree as much as you want, but truth is the 991C4S is faster everywhere...If you're interested, you could browse German sites where both cars are constantly put on the test, under all conditions, and the difference is amazing. I won't say anything about my own experience, as 1% of this forum will believe what I have done with it so far, and the car has only 1500miles on the odo
Yeah Suzy991, the new electric power steering is not only lighter on the car, it's so precise that you feel like a surgeon when attacking curves at high speed...I mean how can anyone doubt the technology that a phenomenal company like PORSCHE has to offer to its clients?
For me questioning what PORSCHE has to offers is a dishonor to that company.
Emotional freaks here and there would nag for a while, simply because "CHANGE" is never easy to implement

We tried it over here as well, those fractions of time may seem little for some, but in reality it's huge, especially in normal roads, and not tracks with very special Tarmac. Everyone is wondering how, well that's simply the PORSCHE TECHNOLOGY I was referring to in my previous message
Torque distribution in the 991 is amazingly clever, and the new Turbo will be a "Phenomenon" of technology with its rear wheel steering system coupled to the new PDK gearbox...This gearbox that is second to only an F1 gearbox...

I have a C2S cab without sport pasm or Porsche dynamic chassis - and my car is insanely, startlingly, off - the - charts fun to rip around in. I don't miss either option or ever wish I had them.
Not to say those options aren't awesome, I'm sure they are. Just imo, they are by no means necessary to fully enjoy a Porsche 991.

This, and many other sites & blogs FESTER...
After driving my C4S for a month or so, I started feeling how slippery it was if compared to my previous ride, an Audi 2012 RS5 V8. Driving fast with an RS5 makes it so easy that "almost" anyone could take "almost" any curve at speeds more than 70miles/hr, all driving aids OFF. With the C4S things are much more delicate and tricky to handle "At First"...I did lots of research about it, and read great articles about the technological advancement that Porsche did with the 991 in general, and in the C4S in particular if compared with the previous 997 generation. This body is almost 13 seconds faster than the previous model, on the same track, with the same PORSCHE test driver. This is simply huge, and that's pure Technology!
Once you get used to the new C4S, and start taking off all driving aids, you will immediately feel in control...It's true that you cannot approach curves at speeds similar to those reached with an RS5, but once you enter the curve, and how you exist is a totally different story, that makes an RS5 seem like a VW beetle
The C4S cornering and exiting curves feels more like driving a racing bike, amazing...Now that's with my car, that is equipped with every performance option that PORSCHE has to offer. For me, and the way I use my car, every option is worth every penny spent on it. I didn't listen to advises from here and there, and from salesmen...I just trusted PORSCHE blindly, and the results are simply amazing!!!
I will describe the X51 PowerKit option, once the topic points out, as I have read a lot about if its worth the listed 20K price tag or not, and many other bla, bla, bla...But the truth lies with the people who have driven it, and raced cars with it that are sometimes 100HP more

Of course its designed to do so.
C4s x51, tell us what the F1 gearbox is like to drive?
yes, hence the comp. same set up, except im unsure if he has PDCC. Mine does.
go drive a 2wd and you'll know what im talking about. Understeer is not necessarily a bad thing. I just dont like it.

Just for comparison, the gearbox of my RS5, also an F1 style with paddles, broke down after just 5000miles...it doesn't come even close to a 991 PDK gearbox.
The new PDK on my car is a tiny little bit slower than the one of a Ferrari 458 ITALIA which was the benchmark of all car manufacturers, before of course PORSCHE introduced the totally new PDK that will come on the new 991 GT3s.
This is the gearbox that is slower only to an F1 gearbox. The new 991 Turbo will have it as well...
To tell you the truth, I really don't know how it could possibly be faster than mine and that of a 458 Italia that was considered 0 LAG a year ago...I guess those faster gear boxes would be to gain 1000's of a second not more.
The PDK that comes on the 991 Carreras is fantastic, and I really don't know how it can handle all the pressure and push that you get when you shift upwards on cut-off (RPM Red zone Limiter)...The kick you get is huge, I never felt anything like it except in a 458 Italia and a Nissan GTR tuned to 700HP.
Believe it or not, this kick I didn't feel in a 997.2 Turbo PDK...
Again technology coming from super car manufacturers like Ferrari and Porsche should never be questioned, or doubted...When you're at this level in the car industry, mistakes are "Almost" impossible, and not acceptable as they could destroy reputations built over decades...

This comment is very revealing.
