2013 991 Cab rolls in to get a 9500Ci installed. Customer recently received a ticket going triple digits. Fortunately, the CHP officer didn't show to court so he lucked out on this one. This would have easily meant a $1000 ticket for those speeds along with a raised insurance premium for years to come. For someone with 5 cars, this would mean a substantial increase to insurance expense so it made a lot of sense to him to get the radar detector and laser jamming system installed by us.

First, we created a custom display in the center armrest area and wrapped it with matching leather. 2nd, we made a custom frame for the rear jammer so it is integrated into the rear plate. Most 9500Ci installs are just mounted on top of the plate frame, which is quite visible since it looks like a 2" black box sticking out.

LED properly placed if the driver wants to Mute the system, yet still be able to view visually when being hit with laser. This LED light will turn red when this happens.



Custom display / module filled the little cubby area nicely. Wrapped with real leather and color matched to surrounding interior color.

 

That came out nice. For those that are colorblind, can you have the light change to a different color?

Some have asked how we differ in terms of installation compared to others. First, the front and rear bumpers are dismounted so that we get a firm mount. Many companies just utilize double sided tape and have the front and rear diffusers protruding from the bumpers, which is hardly discreet. 2nd, all wires are run via OEM standards, which mean we do not cut corners. Typically, it takes us 2-3 days to complete a system vs. 1 day for most other shops.

 

Doesn't the jammer need to somewhat protrude out in order for the function to work? If the laser hits the car first, then hits the jammer, wouldn't the speed register already?

the jammer's are constantly sending a signal out to interrupt the signal. So no it does not necessarily need to protrude; however, the jammers shouldn't be afixed so far back that there are items blocking the signals from shooting out.
