On a C2S: Nothing vs. SPASM vs. SPASM/PDCC

We obviously know the fundamental differences between the various setups, but I'm curious to get opinions here on the setup of:

a C2S: Nothing vs. SPASM vs. SPASM/PDCC

If I got SPASM on a C2S, is the ride harsher than if I were to get a SPASM/PDCC setup or non SPASM setup?

I'm just worried a SPASM only setup might be too harsh. Especially on the bumpy roads here in LA. Just want some feedback.

I tried the PDCC setup and I posted some of my feedback towards that, but the 3k is pushing it for me and want to see if it is worth it.

neeko877 is infamous around these parts
I'm picking up a C2S today with just pasm. Leasing it for two years then I'd like to get something w spasm and pdcc so I can have first hand experience of both setups.

I'm hoping just pasm isn't too soft but if i was ordering I'd at least get spasm. It seems pdcc will make spasm a little more comfortable, by how much I'm not sure. I don't think there could be a huge difference but I could be wrong.

I have SPASM and no PDCC. I do not find the ride harsh at all. It is lower and stiffer than non PASM or PASM equipped cars. The car has very little roll and outstanding steering feel. It is yet stiffer in Sport+ (being an S with its dynamic engine mounts). But it is where near as harsh as my Boxter S RS-60, which had similar reduction in ride height from standard (non-PASM). The 981 and 991 suspensions and wheel bases make them more supple and comfortable than earlier cars, aided by a move away from Michelin PS2 tires.

I test drove a car with PDCC and PASM but not one with SPASM, so don't have any experience with that combination.

PASM with PDCC makes sense but be sure you really need/want it. If you plan on tracking your car often then go for it. PASM sans PDCC works just fine IMHO for normal driving, including spirited driving of "twisties".

SPASM with PDCC is in my optinion a waste of good money. Just more weight and complication plus additional servicing costs. You even get the hydraulic pump that was deleted due to the electric steering so that benifit evaporates as well. Unless you are a hardcore racer you will not have much benifit. Even if you are - I doubt it will buy you much. If you are a hardcore racer get the GT3 anyway. It does not come with PDCC.

As far as ride is concerned, I feel little difference between a SPASM with or without PDCC. I just don't. Maybe my buttocks are dead. The SPASM rides very nicely but it is firm (but never harsh). Your only concern is the front splitter lip. You will learn quickly to take inclines sideways !

The topic has been discussed to the point of utter repetition which may still leave you confused. There are PDCC believers and not.... go with what you like and can afford. In your case you've had the privilege to try both and in a previous topic and already got responses from folks on this forum. Frank with respect you're going to tie yourself into some tizzy if you go with everyone's opinions about one thing or another.

FYI, I've lived with PDCC and SPASM and have nothing but praise for it. For the type of driving i do (mainly twisties and non track) together with sports chrono it was the best option I ticked. My next car will also have it. If you want the flexibility of track and street performance without going the GT3 route, the PDCC SPASM is a perfect combination. Those of us who have it will attest to it. Btw, the reason the GT3 does not have it is due to its standard and much lowered suspension geometry and lateral rigidity. Enough said as I've gone and confused you more.
