Thinking of buying a 2013 CS

I currently have a 2010 Cayman S was looking at a 2013 Carrera S. Is the base radio good enough? The $2k for a Bose, I don't think is worth it, my ears aren't that good as they used to be. I have a Bose in my Cayman it's nice don't get me wrong, but not worth the extra money I guess.

Spend the money on PSE then, you wouldn't even miss listening to the stereo.

I have the base radio with HD and it's a lot better than my Bose in my 2009 C2S that I had before it.

Save your money; I have the Bose system and it's nothing to write home about. I agree with RNL when it comes to listening to high-quality audio (it ain't in the car).

With my C2S, the real music comes from the engine (PSE is worth every penny).

Best of luck with your new purchase!

Go with the Bose.
if u add the Satellite radio, i.e already $750, and HD radio is $370=1120. Therefore it is only a $1000 upgrade to the Bose, AND u get Online services

I had the base and now I'm upgrading to Bose, the Base system is weak, sounds horrible when you crank the volume up.
Bose is not perfect but way better than the base stereo.

I have the standard radio and have no complaints. The iPhone interface leaves a bit to be desired though. Whenever I get a text/e-mail/phone call it seems to stop the music and can only be restarted if I unlock the iPhone and hit play manually. Or, I plug it in and it doesn't play at all. I find myself using the bluetooth functionality more and more. Granted, I'm sure it's something I have done wrong (or some buried setting) but it doesn't matter. Like many have already said though, the sound coming from the exhaust is all the music I need.

Please don't make your decision based on the stereo. I've had the cayman and now the 911 and there's a huge difference between vehicles.

It's a not a stereo decision that will make me buy a Cayman, I'm already sold on the 991 S. Just thinking is it worth the money for the Bose. My dealer has said there is a July time slot for a 991 S build , car would be here in August (maybe). I prefer to just buy something off the lot and not wait. There is a lot of cars to chosse from in the lots and I want to drive it this summer!!
