Anyone try this yet? Lease the car for a month or two, then buy out the lease and CPO it for 3k?

1. First off, 3k + interest...is that worth 6 years and 100k miles?

2. Second, is 3k the norm for a CPO? Is it negotiable?

3. Third, is there any other way to CPO it if you own it?

sorry about the stupid question. What is CPO?

Certified Pre-owned?

With my previous cars, I always get letter from dealer asking if I want Extended warranty when the original warranty is about the expire. Will PORSCHE do the same?

Is this to make sure you don't get a lemon while extending the warranty? I thought about doing this but only after 1 year, a month seems too early.

porsche doesn't offer cpo after you own it.

most 991 are still under warranty. just have a PPI done and get a CPO one if you want extended warranty from porsche. otherwise, you can get aftermarket warranty if you are really worried.

Porsche does offer extended warranty in Canada. Has to be bought before original warranty expires and requires an inspection (inspection waived if bought within one year of original delivery though).

i was considering this as well, but after about 6 months. dealer originally told me the CPO would cost 2500 when i leased the car from the lot. (i.e. certify it now) Now they called and offered to do it for $4500. $3K seems like a better deal to me and is more in line with "cost" of the certificate plus the safety fee of $300-500. Also in So Cal. Trying to find details on this topic is tough.

In Canada the price is $3.650 for additional two years (or was the price in March).
