first big debris chip of life

So, I knew it would happen eventually. Driving home from work on I-75 last Monday, traffic packed like sardines, see something black bouncing in the road, approaching the 991. Figured it hit the bumper. Get home, the damn thing went through the Invisishield wrap and gouged out the front bumper. About the size of a quarter, like somebody took a knife and stabbed the thing. Anyway, called insurance that night. Got estimate for $1100 fix on Wednesday- got car back yesterday, looks perfect.

To me, bumpers are perishable that occasionally need to be re-sprayed anyway, just based on how low to the ground these bumpers are. Actually the thing looks brand new. Back in business!!

Did you have to have the whole invisishield piece replaced?

Did the insurance pick up the bill with no deductible on your part?

$250 deductible...bumper resprayed, re-clear coated, also will get XPEL. Well worth it to me.

Yeah the best $250 I ever spent. And it was only a 2-day turnaround.

Glad it's back and you are feeling good about it again. When that stuff happens, it's amazing how upsetting it can make you feel.
