question about front ends.

I ordered my C4S last week and delivery date is the first week of october. I went with the sport design front bumper, how much lower is it than the standard bumper, if at all? I will have some ground clearance issues.

Thanks,

Josh

No clearance issues here.
Just slow down and take any steep dips at an angle.
The lip is made of heavy rubber / plastic and is flexible when it needs to be.

I believe the main issue is that is juts out further than base. This can cause issues with steep drives and such. But yes there is a replaceable rubber item that should take most of the abuse. Much easier and cheaper to replace than a new front!

dux and Chupacabra, I think you are thinking about the sport spoiler (which is black plastic/rubber), not the sport design bumper (which usually comes with the ducktail). The sport design (and aerokit cup) bumpers are painted the body color. So if you scrape, you will lose paint. Most of the scratches will be on the underside and not visible, but a bit might show on the lower leading edge/corner.

With that said, I have the aerokit cup on my C4S with SPASM, and I have a lot less scraping issues than I did with my 997.2 C2S w/SPASM. Just to be safe, I also stuck on a few of those hard plastic/teflon like furniture gliders on the bottom to help reduce paint loss.

I park underground with a pretty steep incline to get down. I brought a tester over with sport pasm and it barely scraped. I decided against sport pasm for this reason and also ruled out the sport design front end as I presumed it would also scrape due to its longer extension and it appears it may be lower but hard to tell. I also opted for the painted exterior package so hoping not to scrape that up too much.
