Funny, you are thus implying that there ARE governments that don't mismanage or waste taxpayer money . . .

But there are some governments that are extremely good at it!

Wow. you must have bought from a dealer with a early slot open.
Hope they aren't halfway built with it, then take off and forget about a bolt...hahha

To the OP - you'll certainly get your dream car, albeit a month "delayed". A small price to pay but as the saying goes, when in Rome...
The same "delay" would apply to any (mainland) European sports car, that isn't rolling off a cookie cut assembly line.
The wait will be worth it when your car finally arrives.
PS. This European "entitlement" topic is far too complicated to discuss on this automotive forum, and is laced with cultural nuances and steeped in deep political roots that go way back. Unless you've actually lived it and breathed it, you would be hard pressed to appreciate its advantages and disadvantages.
So lets get back to rattles and stalls..

I thought they slowed production, but not completely stopped. My car starts production next week and is scheduled to be completed in the third week of August.

Loss of an entire months revenue....PLUS paying the employees wages.
Any Euro employers here that can expand on this?[/QUOTE]
The cost of goods and services is far more expensive. Many years ago in France the Socialist government came up with the brilliant idea of shortening the work week to 30 hours. The thinking was that employers would be required to hire more workers in order to fill the productivity gap. Because the cost of hiring a worker includes vacation and other miscellaneous items they would have been at a huge competitive disadvantage. So the employers passed and France's employment rate remains at 8% +/- during good times and higher during bad times. Although, things are more complicated today, the results are the same. Does this tinkering with business look somewhat vaguely familiar?
