Ha, but not likely as my cruise commences on Sept. 7th in London and I hope to have taken delivery by the end of August and enjoy driving her until Sept. 3rd when I'll fly to Boston to meet up with the wife and head for London.

Gonna be hard...
OMG! Multiple first world problems!

Congrats to you for making the correct decisions in life to be able to afford both the car and great vacations! I can imagine its a bit frustrating, but hopefully you will have a great week with her before you an e to head back north.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder so I'm sure the month I'll spend on the cruise and back in Vermont I will dream about what's waiting for me back in Florida. Once I get back to FL, I'll have her to enjoy for the next 9 or 10 months before going back to VT for summer 2014. I am truly blessed to now enjoy the fruits of my labors!

It is a very exciting time. At least you will be around to take delivery. I was on the other side of the world on business when my car arrived. Drove me nuts having to wait another 2 weeks after a 4 month plus wait.

Great news: earlier is always better than later when it comes to waiting for a great car. Enjoy her for the week and then enjoy the cruise. There's nothing like returning from a fun vacation to a spanking-new Porsche! LOL

I recall recently seeing a few posts with the vessel sailing schedule for the port of Emden to the US. Was it in this forum or at Rennlist? If someone has it or can point me in the right direction, I can try to determine which ship my car will likely be on. In my case, it will be Emden to Brunswick, GA. Thanks.

SanibelSpeed,

That is great news! My dealer did tell me when I ordered that Porsche timelines have been shorter than indicated by a few weeks. I guess they want to under promise and over deliver.

My build start date is tomorrow, so I hope I am as fortunate as you with a quicker production schedule! What fun!

You're getting in just under the wire because August is vacation month in Europe. I hope you're as fortunate as I am, too.

Now I'm just hoping my car gets loaded on the ship sailing on the 29th/30th because that would arrive Brunswick on the 12th and be at my dealer the week of the 19th-23rd. Fingers crossed!

SanibelSpeed, just found out mine is already built and waiting in the port.

Perhaps, mine is sitting right next to yours now. Although, we are in different parts of the country, so it might be a different ship. We are on a similar delivery schedule. Although, you will probably get yours first because I'm in California. Let's hope no brown dots now

Frank, you're right: they'll be on different ships but should sail on the same day, the 30th. ETA San Diego for yours would be the 18th and ETA Brunswick for mine would be the 12th. In about a week or so we should be able to get word from our dealer which ship we got on and can then track it. Exciting!
Fingers crossed that we managed to escape the freckles. We'll know soon enough...
