My Car Is Early!

Several weeks early, in fact. Completed and at the port waiting to be loaded aboard a ship. Which ship and when it'll sail has yet to be determined but the original ETA of Sept. 12 is now looking to be third week of August. Can't wait!

Actually, the dealer sent me an email today out of the blue.
Frank, when did you finalize your order and what was the original ETA? Seems like they're banging them out fast.

Oh boy...now the next phase for you begins. Locate and track the boat! A year ago I was doing the same. Congratulations on the early schedule.

It is great news but it's also frustrating because we'd booked a cruise for Sept. 4 thru 16 and are in Vermont until the end of Sept. after returning from the cruise. But, once I know the vessel's actual ETA, I'll book a flight back to FL and wait for her to arrive at my dealer and hopefully get a week's worth of enjoyment before leaving her in the garage for a month while I head back north to catch the flight to our cruise. Gonna be hard...

My salesman has been keeping close tabs on the build since his normal customer don't go the Porsche Exclusive route so he calls Melissa to get updates and I think that's how he found out about the early completion. I've asked him to find out when there's a ship assigned so I can figure out an ETA and make my flight plans to be back in FL just before she gets to the dealer. I'm guessing that in a week or so I'll have a ship name, voyage number, and ETA.

So, stay tuned....

real early June...wasn't yours late May? ETA was in mid-August, but they told me mid-September because Porsche engineers were off in August. Guess the boat captains aren't

Good for you. That was extremely quick.
I suppose the time as come to order your clear side-markers (they take all of 30 seconds to replace), a Clearbra installation appointment and some tint.
As you know the S. FL summer can been brutally hot and the tint really does help.

Reminder of the rules: It isn't real until you post pictures..

Your memory is extraordinary, Frank: Indeed, I did place the order around May 29 but I kept changing and adding and adding features (all due to the feedback I was getting from all you folks here), so it finally locked on June 12th (even though I did make one final change on June 15th that got in under the wire).

My original ETA was Sept. 12 but now it's looking like sometime in the last 10 days of August. Fingers crossed...

The dealer is going to do the clear side markers but they are pricey on the full clear bra: $2395, so I'm thinking I'll postpone doing that until I get back to FL after my September away.

Don't worry about pics: You'll probably have to tell me to stop because I tend to post as many as I can!

Forget getting the Clearbra through the dealer. $2400 is ridiculous.
There is a great place in Boca (with a REALLY OCD owner).
I'll PM you their details...

S, if the back and forth and the cruise itinerary is problematic I'm sure you'll find some kind hearted forum member who'll do the pickup from the dealer for you!!!

Just kidding.
