Just put PSE on it and sell your nearly new Cans and Tips on eBay for $400-$800, many folks including myself have. With PSE install there will be no warranty issues with Porsche.

Add the PSE, the amount of money you are losing including tax doesn't justify it.

I have had an aftermarket exhaust on all my previous cars and I have to say, Porsche has done an amazing job on this exhaust system. I'm sure aftermarket sounds good too but the PSE is unique.

Agree with folks who have recommended to just add the PSE.

Add PSE to your car. No potential warranty claim issues with the PSE.

In your case I feel the issue with not having the button is that you have now taken a 2012 car in stock form and added an OEM part but it is a) expensive, b) of no performance value, and c) is different enough from factory that having the absent button might become a negative at resale . In short I dont see anything great about adding it on a car which is two model years old .

It just so happens that the stock exhaust (non PSE) is pretty good in contrast to previous 997 and 996 cars .

My feeling is that you may as well save the money and plunk it into the next car .

dr bit is infamous around these parts
Get a fabspeed center muffler and when you sell the car take it out and put it on eBay, that's the cheaper and best option sound and performance wise for your car.

Can't see spending close to 4 g for PSE, will go with centre X pipe or shark werks side muffler delete. Either is under 1500 installed and reversible

I'll see if I can get a vid of it. If you really interested you can come hear it in person as I see you are local.

With the valve open its more aggressive then PSE everywhere!!!! With the valve closed, its slightly deeper and just a touch louder then non PSE exhaust.

I had it installed at the dealer, and they were all extremely impressed with the fit and finish of the product, if you know Akra, then you would expect the best from them.

You could get the X51 package that has the PSE.

Exhaust

Congrats on the Porsche, we offer several options to not just improve the horsepower and torque but naturally tune to the sound that you are looking for.

That makes 2 of us. I cant decide leaning towards FVD because they advertise NO DRONE!! but not sure how much louder it will be vs PSE?

BTW, to the OP just get the PSE or center xpipe. Way cheaper than buying a new car. I have the PSE and do like the sound of it but just need something louder since iam coming from a e92 m3 with catless xpipe and bastuck race exhaust.

Are the side resonators different with the PSE? It looks like you could get PSE for under $1000 if you don't have to replace the side mufflers. http://sonnenporscheoemparts.com/par...iagram=6934465
