Am I CRAZY
6 weeks into C2S ownership, love my triple black 2012 cab.I Have been researching aftermarket exhaust, as I don't have PSE.
My dealership just got a identical build with grey interior and PSE, should I ask to flip? Or will aftermarket exhaust satisfy???
PS:wife just gave me a funny look when I mentioned it

order the PSE kit from sunset Porsche in Portland!!! ship to your dealership and have them install.........mine came out only $300 over ordering it on the build. you will love it!!!
I just installed an Akra exhaust on the car, its incredible!!!! Blows the PSE out of the water with how aggressive it can be when you want. I have the wireless kit as well for full control.

I would do absolutely nothing . This is coming from a guy who has spent easily 20K in exhausts in the last 6 years and who currently has PSE on my Boxster S (along with a Tubi race exhaust on my Turbo) .
The 991S with the standard exhaust is fine the way it is . PSE is merely a noisemaker and even though it's pleasant sounding I feel that adding it is expensive and I am not even sure if it will have the on and off button . Going aftermarket is also expensive and there really isn't so much more Hp that will be extracted from an exhaust and software flash . Plus if you trade in the car at some point it can not be CPO'd so on top of being late to the party on a 2012 car it just adds another ridiculous cost to it.
Save your money .

You may as well ask what it would cost to flip. But you won't like the answer.
PSE after-market will be the safest bet. But I wouldn't get it if it didn't have the button. You'll want to turn it off. I use mine about half the time, and quickly switch it off on the highway. I'm sure aftermarket brands are more thrilingly noisy, but for my taste PSE is racket enough.

The button is the issue, controlling the sound at idle, and hgwy cruising.
Akra seems to be the only one to add this and is 11 K installed
Stalker would love to hear it sometime

Is it crazy to spend $24k on an exhaust system?...Yes it is. That's what it would cost to flip out of your present car to a new one with the PSE. Just either add an aftermarket system or the PSE from Suncoast. It will be worth it.
BTW- I leave my PSE on ALL the time. It sounds just right. Then again I had a Stradale and I modified the exhaust to be wide open 100% of the time. It was twice the sound of the PSE.
