Carrera 911 2014 White Color Variance

Hi Guys,

i just got my 911 C2S few days back, and i noticed very minor variance in the color between the main body and the front bumper (I am very picky in nature). is that normal or i am just imagining!

I also did diamond gloss paint protection from Zeibart. what do you think?

Front bumper is plastic and hood is aluminum so the very slight colour variation is likely due to that. Boy, you must have a good eye for colour !

I have another question regarding break in! the sales guy told me that there is no need to break in!! while in the manual Porsche states that i need to break in up to 3k KM!

also, can i use sport/sport plus during break in period?

Depends on who you listen to - some say forget about the break-in, others say do it. I decided to do the break-in -- key here is to try to keep it below 4200 revs and more importantly to vary the revs - try not to keep it constant. You can use sport and sport + as long as you keep revs below 4200. Good luck with your new baby and post pics!

Break it in !
My engine felt very very tight when I first started driving. Selfrestricted myself to 3000 rpm and 1/4 throttle. You'll feel it loosen up after a while. At that time you can gently go higher and higher with the rpm (500 rpm increments) and throttle application. I think it's more about common sense and feeling the car/engine than an arbitrary 3000km or 2000mi mark.

All white 991 comes that way. I believe the fender also has minor variances, a lot less than the bumper. Normal shortcomings for white car in general.
A white 458 Italia has MAJOR variances on its side skirts.

As for paint protection, search on glass coating technology.
