We spent the extra $ on our A8L to get the LED Headlights....Huge difference!

I look at this the way I look at every technology. It's a small price to pay now, to have your car "current" for the next 10 years....Soon only LED headlights will be around and that will divide newer from older cars, IMO.

LED is the future. In Automotive, Lighting (residential and commercial). It's more efficient, cleaner, more powerful and lasts longer....

Does anyone have them installed? My dealer has NEVER put them on a 911. I'd like to see some pics from day/night and the differences.

Thanks!
Hi, I got MY14 in Rhodium with Full LEDs delivered in late July. Very satisfied with both the color and the headlights. I've been kind of geeky with light technology since the first xenon lights in the 90s, so it was no option for me to choose "last year" PDLS+ now.

I've would never buy a 2nd hand car with non-xenon during the previous decade, probably like many others back then. Afraid the same regarding non LEDs will happen going forward. The cost of the option is ridiculous, as many other options, but it could make it more attractive in the secondary market. In a few years, might non-LEDs be concidered ancient or classic. Who knows...

I would really like to see these in person. I can't stand energy efficient lighting, especially LED lighting, in my home. I replaced dozens of lights back to standard. I couldn't imagine anyone living with lights like these. I equate these new lighting options being popular much like LCD television is more popular than Plasma. It is marketed very well creating the perception that it is better. The marketing makes people feel good about their inferior purchase.
I wonder if I would feel the same about LED headlights. Are they being perceived as better due to the increased cost and new technology coolness involved?

There are several kinds of LED. The cheap ones (usually Chinese) and the US LED (usually Cree). Watch the Audi vampire commercial or if you're in NY i'll pass by with the A8. It is DAY when you turn them on.

Would it be possible in the future, lets say in 5 years, to change xenon for LED in a 1914 991?

i'm sure there will be a headlight swap available at some point if it ever became a major issue.
