Don't get me wrong... it's not hate in my case 
I just don't like the car as much as I like other cars. This doesn't mean that I don't respect the car. The GT-R (former Skyline) has just like the Mazda RX-7 and RX-8 my respect because of what they made possible on a technical base. That they have ruined it (in my opinion) with the looks, makes that I'm not interested in the car.
It's not just about performance, at least not for me. If I didn't mind how a car looks (inside and outside), maybe I would drive a GT-R... who knows.

It's not about hating the gtr at all. I'm just fed up with outsiders coming to our 991 forums to take a **** at our cars. I leave them alone in their forum, why can't they do the same for us?

Ladies and gentlemen, it's come down to the "Nannie Nannie, pooh pooh, my car is faster than yours.." rhetoric. I say give them a breather eh? It's like two against twenty and its just getting worse. Time for an intervention.
Ill start. Guys, your cars are the holy grail of power speed and dominance. Let all others who speak ill of it be struck down by Godzilla himself and let it be known that umm... Oh yea that it can pack 1200 horsepower under the almighty hood, which in turn is faster than all Porsches that cometh before it. Grrr!
And Porsche owners, you mustn't forget to respect other brands, because they are down there, even if you can't really see them they are there...and umm right, the gtr WILL beat you on the rolling street of raceway or other, so don't ever try that or your self esteem will get lower and you will perish for all eternity.....I think.
Anywho, here's to burying the hatchet and calling it a day, eh? Waddya say....No?

thumbsup for this comment!! I agree... And I don't mind at all that a GT-R is gonna beat me, I wouldn't expect something else from it. Performancewise it IS a beast.
In fact... Even my own Q5 (and that's a diesel!!) is faster to 62 than my poor little Boxster, because I'm stuck with an old fashioned manual.... (Another debate without end

I understand this thread has side-tracked for the OP but I have to say something:
I'm honored to have the privilege to own both cars currently. I love my 991.C4S and I'm amazed at how fast my built (1000+awhp) Godzilla performs.
My Gt-r goes from point a to point b faster than anything I have driven. The rush is insane and addicting. And the C4S, with its refinement, heritage, styling, and neutral-balanced handling, is most enjoyable WHILE I go from point a to b.
Its amazing how much some people show such bias in their car and brand. And to those that try to hide it with jargon and good writing? It still shows folks! For me its not about brands and what gets attention or even styling (if that was the case I would own a 458 Scud).
Porsche and Nissan build the cars I LIKE. But if BMW, GM, Audi, etc. build something in the near future that get my interest then I'll try it.

And then I'll drum quite a few incidents that will definitely refute it. I don't expect everyone to know the entire interwebz. But I would at least expect people to know they don't know everything about the interwebz, especially not knowing what goes on in certain places that you specifically avoid.
I could read your gtr forums all day long. That would not change the fact that I think it's an ugly car in and out. There's more to cars than just their performance in numbers.

I've probably owned more Porsches than you. But hey, while you're making assumptions - keep at it. To me, you're the new outsider.
Who would be the outsider here? Is there a requirement people must first be certified to have before posting? Should we have a 991, before posting in the 991 forum? That would be interesting if you even remotely agreed. Because then you'd have to explain away the 991 section a year before it existed.

What I often see, is people who had Porsches (or other cars) on 6pseed, then switch to a GT-R or 'Vette (or other car), get a different perspective, and correct blatant misinformation.
