This is the best solution IMHO. This way you have not diminished the value of the car as ALL parts are OEM & painted original OEM color.

Consider yourself lucky and have them swap the part with another car. That's exactly what I did on mine. If they don't have that color in stock they can order one or locate one.

Did you ask them to have their detailer try and buff it out with a rotary and some polish, not an orbital buffer? It may buff out, you would be surprised what you can get out of paint with polish.

that's the plan. they have asked their detailer to take a look. I haven't heard back from them yet....
