Anyone have the Carbon heated Multi function steering wheel? Pix inside

I'm still playing around with different configs.

I saw that the MFSW has slightly smaller and thinner nodules than the Sport Steering Wheel (SSW), and I was wondering by changing to Carbon if the nodules would be the same size of the SSW or just like the MFSW.

Too busy with all the carbon?

I took your appeals to heart and added the sport chrono, but I am unable to remove the Red Seat belt's, Burmester, or PSE...lol

Skip for me. I'm a CF ***** at heart, but I just don't think that it's tones go with the brown interior.

I didn't get it on my espresso interior because I think it looks equally out of place with that.

Aside form the CF question, I can personally not conceive to have the PDK and driving the car 'dynamically' (shifting manually) without the Sport Design steering wheel + paddle shifters. I think that the 'push button' shifters on the MF steering wheel take away all the fun of shifting manually with the PDK.

Back to the CF on the steering wheel, it looks indeed too busy and you won't have as much grip (except if you keep your hands at 10:10 or 9:15 all the time).

Again, personal opinions...

On the MFSW, now that I've had a few test drives, I tend to agree the Sport wheel with paddles is much better with PDK, and just looks more sporty...

Too bad they don't add a couple buttons to the sport wheel.. Anyone know what you loose from the MFSW when you go to sport...?

I think other than the PDK shifting, it would be volume control and the instrument panel selector wheel..

I have the multi-function wheel with a 7MT, but I think the only functionality you lose with a Sport Design Wheel is the volume control. I believe you can control most every other function with a supplemental stalk placed on the steering column if you get the Sport Design. I got the multi-function wheel because I do a lot of city driving and I thought the ability to control functions from the wheel would be good (and my previous cars have had multi-function wheels). However, the operation of the multi-function wheel is so convoluted, I regret that I didn't get the Sport Design wheel just because it looks so much better (and I don't even have to worry about the paddles). We'll see if I change my view come winter, because I was able to get the heated wheel (not available with the Sport Design).

I have it on my Panamera and it looks awesome. I will take a pict of it tomorrow and upload it. It doesnt get too cold in So Cal...but on those chilly 50 degrees days...the heated steering wheel is nice. I turn it on for a minute or 2 and let the wheel warm up then turn it off.

Yeah, I've had Multifunction wheels on other SUV's and lux cars.. And in reality I never really use any of it anyway. I just sort of forget the volume and channel controls.. I suppose I was most worried about the instrument cluster control, because that is something I can see myself constantly accessing.... but as you mentioned there is another stick to do that...

I think I'm going with the Sport wheel.. Just looks good in a porsche..

Me too. I think it is really convenient for volume and checking things on the fly such as tire pressure, without taking hands of the wheel.
