Thanks so much everyone--concerned members, admin, and David@Fabspeed for acknowledging and giving me an opportunity to voice my grievance. I didn't want to post until David@Fabspeed had an opportunity to cure.

Unfortunately, I once again received the wrong tips. I wanted Polished/Chrome tips and I got Black Chrome.

Here are the facts.
  1. Subject Line of my Email reads: "Pricing for Black Chrome Quad Tips for Porsche 991 3.4"
  2. I specify later I wanted regular chrome tips.
  3. In paypal email, I specify I want Polished Tips and also Link to the exact set of tips I want.
Is it unreasonable for me to expect the correct tips?

I'd ask for refund and do business with someone else at this point.

I hate to say this but Fabspeed sent me the wrong tips too when I ordered them. I ordered the black chrome and they sent me the chrome. However, they shipped me out the correct tips that same day and I received them the next day. They also sent me the prepaid label to send back the other tip set. You could have used a 10mm 6 point wrench to remove the 991 stock tip. You didnt have to spend the $ on the torx set. The Fabspeed tips use a 13mm wrench. I'm sure you know that part now. All the best!

It says a lot about a company when they handle such important matters with a lack of detail. It doesn't matter how busy they are, or what they got going on. When a problem arises, there needs to be extra attention paid to it to make it 100% right at this point.

I would request a refund. Do business with another vendor. If they can't get tips right after a month, that's really saying something.

For what it's worth- I've had outstanding experiences in working with them for parts on two different 911 cars. My experiences have been so positive that I'd be hesitant to try another companies products in the future.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience. Hopefully it will be resolved soon!

I've had their products on two of my previous Porsche's and I was very pleased with the quality, performance, and value. But I didn't buy directly from Fabspeed, instead I went through a local vendor.

Hey Everyone,

Fabspeed called me a few times since they sent me the wrong tips a second time. I initially didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the area code, but then I looked more closely and it was from PA so I figured it'd be Fabspeed.

So I called them back on Thursday and I was transferred to the manager. The manager was very apologetic and explained there was an error in the part# which let to my consistently receiving the wrong item. The manager said he would expedite the shipping, but overnight may be expensive so I may get the tips Monday or Tuesday.

Well I got the tips the next day on Friday early in the morning. It seems they overnighted to me again. Now this is the third time I've been overnighted parts by Fabspeed, in fact they have overnighted to me every single time and it can't be cheap I must tip my hat off to them.

Finally I have received my chrome/polished tips. I am very pleased.

I would like to say that while the experience has been frustrating to me, Fabspeed has resolved the situation to my satisfaction. What makes it so easy for me to forgive Fabspeed is a combination of:
  1. Fabspeed's complete apologetic attitude towards the situation. There was no sense of entitlement, no typical indignant sales rep.
  2. They really showed they cared by expediting my shipment every time.

Thanks again everyone for your time in reading this thread. I will edit the opening post now.

Hats off to Fabspeed for the doing the right thing. Mistakes happen in business/retail - it is how you deal with them that really shows the level of customer service a company has. Again, overnighting a shipment 3 times is not cheap. Glad you're situation was resolved to your satisfaction.

Now put those new tips on and let's see some pics!!

And a little pressure applied via awareness of the online community doesn't hurt either..

But we all make mistakes.... it's how you fix'em that matters when you do..

I'll gladly take any extra quad chrome tips that you don't want if you are tired of dealing with Fabspeed.
