First 24 Hours Observations

That's one thing I think should be updated in the car. The default mode should be sport, with two buttons, 1 for fuel econ, which is the normal mode, and 1 for sports+. The hesitation is definitely a software issue. You can duplicate the issue over and over by doing this:
1. Accelerate normally from a red light and watch where the car shifts from second to third.
2. At the next stop, accelerate the car normally for a split second then floor the car.
3. You'll notice at the RPM that the car shifted from second to third, the PDK disengages second to go to third, but then suddenly reengages second gear.

Right from delivery day I've used Sport and Sport + all the time once the oil temperature gets over165'F. Sport + in the city, Sport on the highway. Always in manual mode (I treat the PDK sort of like a sequential manual transmission).
Something to have checked is does your car have the latest iteration of the PDK software? When mine was updated a month ago the shifts became even sharper in all modes.
Never had the "hesitation" issue but then perhaps this is not the same issue with the X51 Powerkit option?

Wish that were the case but unlike me, cars don't thrill her. If it were up to her, she'd be chauffeured around and would sit in the back seat, the way it was when she grew up in Latin America.

Not sure but it shouldn't make any difference. X51 provides additional benefit only at higher rpms...

Good thought: two buttons, fast and slow.

But I'm somewhat surprised you find the seats hard. Maybe you haven't found the right settings yet ? I found one were it supports all my body parts from my knees upward to my shoulders. That way it minimizes pressure points (dispersing total pressure/load over a bigger surface) and will lessen your feeling of them being too hard too maybe ?

My dealer charges $700 to replace a Pirelli, $300 for a PSS. The PSS is a superior tire all around, once I switched, I noticed a marked difference right away.

If I could be certain that the Michelin Pilot SS would be quieter (I'm already convinced they are superior in every other way), it'd justify discarding the P Zeroes and spending $1500 to replace them with the Pilots. Otherwise, trying to convince the wife that it's a good idea to replace the original tires with only 300 miles on them is gonna be a really hard sell.

Haha damn! I'd just sell the pirelli's, then tell her I can't drive the car with no tires! (Plus you can get some money to go towards the PSS)

Totally. Also, this isn't just a subjective thing, Pirelli's are proven crap: http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...omparison-test
